Class of 2029 offensive lineman Junior Puente Junior Puente 6'4" | 280 lbs | OL St. John's College | 2029 State MD from St. Johns College High School impressed evaluators with his size and athletic upside at the Prep Redzone MD Exposure Series. The 6-foot-4, 260-pound tackle/guard prospect showcased strong movement skills and physicality throughout the event. Puente demonstrated the ability to stay balanced in pass protection while also displaying power in run-blocking drills. His combination of length, footwork, and aggressiveness allowed him to compete at a high level against older prospects. With his frame and developing skill set, Puente is quickly becoming a young offensive line prospect to watch in the Class of 2029.

Puente is an offensive lineman prospect with clear positional flexibility (lines up at guard and tackle in his highlight video). He already has a frame that can carry more weight, which is key if he projects to be an interior offensive lineman. His ability to line up at different spots and on different sides of the offensive line speaks to how strong his baseline understanding is of different assignments. The film is short and has a small sample size. There are a few reps where he shows flashes of good hand placement and using good blocking angles. I think he’ll be able to get more film of him in true pass sets and longer-developing plays this upcoming season. A few of the pass-sets in his highlights are of the short variety. As a run blocker, Puente’s seal blocks and down blocks stand out as he creates lanes for his running back. There’s a lot to work with her.
