About Jordan
Expert Analysis
Connor Jackson | Prep Redzone Scout
Holmes is a dynamic two-way player, but will settle down at DB long-term for Kennesaw State. Holmes is a truly impressive playmaker with the ball in his hands, which will give him special teams value. His short-area quickness, explosiveness, and general athleticism are on full display when rattling off explosive runs. Even with a lack of prototype size, I am confident this guy will be hard to separate against, and his ball production on both sides of the ball really sticks out to me.

Holmes continues to shine as one of the savviest defensive backs in his class. In Week 5, he displayed an advanced feel for zone coverage, baiting quarterbacks into poor decisions and breaking on throws with precision timing. His hands are good enough to turn deflections into takeaways, and once the ball is in his grasp, his return vision takes over. A natural playmaker, Holmes doubles as a dangerous return ace who can flip field position in a heartbeat.

Few prospects in the state can match Holmes’ versatility. At 3-0, he’s had his fingerprints all over Pike Road’s hot start, serving as one of the most underrated two-way players in Alabama.
Defensively, Holmes is instinctive and diagnoses plays quickly. His closing speed leads to interceptions, PBUs, and blown-up passing concepts. He’s comfortable in zone, reads the quarterback’s eyes, and is a reliable tackler in space. With a PBU or INT in every game so far, Holmes has also maintained his role as an offensive weapon — eclipsing 100+ all-purpose yards in every outing and adding value on both sides of the ball.
