“Surfield is an impressive defender who thrives off his pursuit. No one is safe behind the line of scrimmage with him on the field. He has a strong motor, impressive closing speed, and plays with max effort every snap, leading to a ton of impressive stops in pursuit.
I really am impressed with Surfield’s run defense. He’s really quick to get by blockers and to the ball carrier, frequently closing up run lanes and making tackles for loss or very little gain. You can also watch him command a bunch of attention on passing downs, consistently freeing up teammates to get after the QB.”
