After receiving a PWO spot from Michigan State, it made me go back and watch what he has done so far this season. After watching his film from this year, I definitely see what prompted the offer! He’s an explosive receiver who can take the top off a defense with his elite speed and route running. I love the way he can adjust to balls and get leverage in tough situations. He as all of the tools to be an incredibly WR at the next level, and I am thoroughly impressed with his growth since the last time I watched him, so hats off for the work he’s put in!

Jerell is a very intriguing addition to the Rankings. On one hand, I’ve seen him in-person a few times. I know for a fact that Jerell is very athletic, can run any route effectively, and has solid hands. He’s a guy who can burn you on a streak, or quickly turn around for a comeback. In fact, he’s done enough during camp season to secure an offer from Saginaw Valley State. The one gaping hole in my evaluation of Jerell is game tape. I have none. On paper, Jerell is a receiver with overall above-average skillset, but I’d love to see that skillset translate to Friday Nights. He could be a very high riser in the next update, but before then, Jerell has to prove himself this season.

“JD” walked away with an offer today, and it didn’t take long to see why. Right from testing, you could tell he was moving well, running quickly, making light work of the agility tests, and winning off the line in 1’s. His release is so nice, and his catch radius is huge. I was incredibly impressed by how good he looked, and I am looking forward to seeing him develop.
