This athlete is a very intriguing prospect to me because you normally don’t see DBs on this level that are technically sound and willing to make tackles. Amir has great size for his age and position. His film shows his ability to play multiple coverages, break on balls that are in the air and set the edge as a CB and make tackles. Mayes looks poised to have a very good varsity career at DB.
