I had to mention Jeff, he was making plays even though he wasn’t the main focal point of the offense. Baca’s only reception came on a crazy throw to the end zone. He ran back to the QB to catch it at the 1 yard line. He has very good body control to adjust and keep 2 feet in bound. Great position for his team to get a touchdown. He also had a big kick return to set up Legend in plus territory. I put his catch and return below.

Baca had a great game against Ponderosa. Baca accounted for 5 receptions for 112 yards with 2 TDs. Baca demonstrated all the traits you’d like to see in a WR. He has very good foot speed. He is able to get good separation quickness through use of athletic ability. He has good change of direction and elusiveness. He’ll pluck the ball out of the air naturally, and has a fluid catching movement either in traffic or stationary.

Baca is a physical strong safety who does an excellent job at filling in the box and defending against the run or covering a slot receiver against the pass. He flies downhill and rallies to the ball with great speed and initiates powerful hits upon contact. He has a balanced set of skills that allow him to line up in multiple positions on the field, including the interior and the edge of the box. Baca is a talented athlete with the potential to become a viable addition to a college program, especially for an in-state school.
