The WVU commit won’t sneak up on anyone, talent-wise, in 2023. His reputation as a top FBS Pennsylvania recruit is well-documented on this particular platform and beyond. All of my colleagues alike think that Cross is a top FBS recruit with great next-level potential. He is a fluid athlete with speed and game-breaking ability. He’s a rangy safety that has D1 ball skills with good football IQ. He runs the alley aggressively and is a sure tackler, who isn’t afraid of big collisions. He’s capable of playing multiple offensive positions as well. He is very elusive with effortless breakaway speed when he carries the ball. Cross’ displays versatility and looked like he gained a step during the summer months on the camp circuit. He’s a dynamic performer that will be a big impact player for BC in 2023.

Cross is sitting on 1 FBS offer from Akron. He’s a dynamic athlete that has a mean streak. Some of Jason’s talents include lateral quickness, speed, fluid hips & his vertical leaping ability. Cross runs the alley with a good tempo & is aggressive in run pursuit. His sharp football IQ allows him to recognize, anticipate & react quickly. The D1 product is a punishing form tackler that causes big impacts. Jason’s athleticism & speed is already elite and he still has another season to develop. He runs skilled routes with great body control & pace. His ball skills are above average, and he displays them regularly on both sides of the ball.

I remember seeing Jason Cross for the first time in Week One. He impressed me and shot his stock through the roof with his stellar all-around play. Fast forward to this past weekend and the star junior is shattering Bishop Canevin’s all-time passing record with 325 yards thrown against Fort Cherry. What can’t this kid do?
