Senior defensive back Jamariyon Franklin Jamariyon Franklin 6'1" | DB Millwood | 2024 State OK moved from Douglass to Millwood this offseason and immediately gave the Falcon secondary an impact player at the cornerback position. When we caught Millwood in person two weeks ago in the quarterfinal round, Franklin was one of the more physically impressive prospects to watch on a field full of guys that will be playing at the next level. We didn’t see much of Franklin when he was at Douglass but he has been outstanding for the Falcons this season. We know this is what was expected back in the summer when we talked with the Millwood coaches. Franklin and the Millwood secondary will be big against Washington’s pass game.

Franklin plays wide receiver and defensive back for the Trojans out of the 2024 class. One thing that I saw in watching his film is that he is not afraid to go up and get the ball. He uses his hands well and came down with several receptions on both sides while high pointing the ball. Franklin drives on the ball when it comes out of the quarterback’s arm. He plays a little high in his back pedal, but it doesn’t take him out of his footwork to turn on the ball. While playing defensive back, he does like contact and gets off the block quickly. I would like to see him put his eyes through the thighs on his tackles and not tackle so high on occasions. Franklin would project at defensive back at the next level and we are excited to watch his growth with this position.
