Mack measures in at 5’9 and is a speedy elusive receiver. Throughout the season, he had 37 receptions for 640 yards and 9 touchdowns. Mack has very good athletic ability due to his elite change of direction, speed, and very good acceleration and balance. Mack uses his athleticism at the line of scrimmage to beat press jam coverage. His very quick feet make defenders uneasy. Jakhai has very good separation quickness due to his athletic ability and mental processing. He identifies a soft pocket in the zone and exploits it. Crisp route running, while making it look fluid. I’m surprised Mack hasn’t been picked up yet. He’s an explosive receiver who also makes plays in the return game. Watch out for his name to over the next couple of weeks.

Mountain Vista has a trio of #1 WRs. On Friday, Jakhai Mack Jakhai Mack WR Mountain Vista | 2025 State CO stepped into that role. The 5’9 senior had 3 receptions for 94 yards and 1 touchdown. Mack has very good athletic ability due to elite speed, change of direction, very good acceleration, and balance. Jakhai has burners, and is consistently using his speed to be a deep threat for the offense. He has a very good release against off coverage and press jam. He used the 1,2-shake to create space between him and the DB. Mack has very good separation quickness, he uses his athletic ability to out-maneuver the DB, or identifies a hole in the zone to exploit. He has very good ball tracking and catching skills. One aspect that stood out to me was his ability to create YAC. He uses his home run speed to blaze past everyone into the endzone. Or he will use his elite COD to juke out defenders. An underrated aspect of his game is his strength. He dragged 2 defenders for 5 extra yards. Impressive. Even in a crowded WR with talent, Mack made a name for himself against Cherokee Trail.

Jakhai Mack Jakhai Mack WR Mountain Vista | 2025 State CO is another stellar corner on the 5A All-State Team. He is a two way athlete, putting up killer numbers at both positions. As a CB, he had 34 total tackles (19 solo, 15 assist) 6 int (T-1st), 4 PD, 1 FF, 2 pick 6s. As a WR he had 60 receptions for 988 yards and 9 touchdowns. This kid can play ball, and he’s only 5’9 145 pounds. Mack has very good athletic ability. He has very good speed, acceleration, change of direction, and jumping. Even at 5’9, he has lengthy arms. At the line of scrimmage, he’ll excel using his physicality and press jam the receiver. He uses his shifty feet to keep up with the WR’s footwork. Demonstrates good mental processing by keeping his eyes on the QB. He’ll jump forward and get the interception. Uses home run speed to get downfield and take it to the house. Jakhai is good in both man and zone coverage. In man, he’ll stick to the wide receiver like glue. He uses his very good athletic ability to keep up with athletic receivers. Will deflect ball away. In zone, he’s patient. He’s not forcing anything and stays in his assignment. He’ll lock down his entire zone. Very good ball tracking skills. Able to track the ball and WR easily at the same time. Fluid, natural catching. Throughout his play, Mack continues to show his good competitive toughness. He’d play throughout the whistle. He wouldn’t give up on plays. If he got beat, he’d comeback and win the next play. Great season deserving to be on the list.

Mack was able to use his vision to find himself in the right location on multiple occasions coming down with 2 INTs, reading the play and breaking on the ball. He has soft hands and can make an impact on both sides of the ball. He will be a player to keep on the radar for quarterfinals as he tries to make a big impact on this game.

Mack is a player looking to take a big step this year and it starts with his ability to be a gamechanger. He has the speed to take the top off of a defense and whenever he gets into the open field he uses that ability to take it to the house. He is also a capable route runner being able to setup his moves and get the defense out of position. He has soft hands coming down with the difficult catches and shows great footwork with his moves, leaving defenders behind. He is a big play waiting to happen but will also go downfield and pick up a big block for his teammates.

Mack had a dominating introduction to his high school career, ending his freshman season as the state’s second-leading receiver in yards (564) and touchdowns (7) among the 2025 class. He is an explosive route runner who does an excellent job of getting on the toes of the defender before creating separation at the top of his route. His athleticism gives him the ability to attack the ball in the air and win in one-on-one situations. Mack is on track to make a name for himself as a legitimate prospect, making him one to watch as he progresses.
