Matt Tate | Prep Redzone Scout
Modrzewski is a premier two-way player for Mountain Vista. He measures in at 6’1 205-pounds accounting for 86 carries for 609 yards with 11 touchdowns, 9 receptions for 125 yards with 2 touchdowns, 64 total tackles (45 solo, 19 assisted), 12 TFL, 2 sacks, 4 QB pressures, 2 INT, 1 PD, and 1 FR. Very good athletic ability due to very good change of direction, balance, speed, and acceleration. Very good vision to pivot through open gaps and gash the defense both in inside running and outside. Modrzewski consistently gains yards after contact. He’ll run through linebackers with his trucking or use his stiff arm to gain more yards. Kid is a beast and deserves way more looks from colleges.

Uses his jump cuts to pick, slide, and accelerate into the open gap. Very good inside and outside running. In short yardage situations, he’ll follow his lineman and get the first down or touchdown. He consistently gets yards after contact. Modrzewski bounces off defenders like it’s pinball, or he’ll truck right through them with his very good strength. He has powerful legs to churn forward and drag defenders with him. I firmly believe he will reach that sought after 1000-yard season. Great young running back / linebacker who elevates his team.

Very good athletic ability due to very good speed, acceleration, change of direction, balance, and lateral quickness. Explosive start with the ball in his hands. Modrzewski uses his very good vision to diagnose his path for the defense. Very good outside running. He hits the perimeter, reaches his top speed, and is gone. One thing of note is how Hudson is able to use his jump cuts to make defenders miss, or trucks through them. On the defensive side, he is a very good blitzer. Very good take off speed with good block shedding. Very good tackling and good bend around the edge. Powerful bull rush as well. Modrzewski is a phenomenal prospect, and will look to continue his momentum against Ralson Valley.

Modrzewski brought energy and versatility to Mountain Vista’s defense, finishing with nine tackles and showing the ability to influence the game in multiple roles. He excelled at slipping blocks with quick lateral movement, yet he also showed the strength to take on and shed blocks when needed. Modrzewski’s range allows him to drop into coverage and disrupt short passing concepts, giving the defense flexibility in its looks. His effort stood out, as he consistently pursued plays from the backside and prevented big gains. Modrzewski’s combination of athleticism and football IQ makes him a key piece heading into the next round. Expect him to continue generating attention with his ability to impact both the run and pass game.

Modrzewski is an athlete who has started to come out of his shell as a strong safety. He has a solid frame that checks the eye-test box, and he is only going to get bigger. His playing style consists of the explosiveness and speeded needed to play in coverage and the physicality needed to defend against the run. Modrzewski is a significant part of a very talented 2027 class, making him a young prospect to add to the radar now.
