Wright is listed as a safety but plays down in the box often and can fly around the football field making plays. He can use his speed to blitz off the edge and make a tackle in the backfield or pressuring the QB. He is aggressive when taking on blocks and trying to shed with purpose, getting back into the play to make a tackle. He is constantly showing good vision being able to find a gap, hitting the gap with speed and not allowing the ball carrier to gain any additional yards after contact.

Wright is an outstanding athlete with versatile skills that allow him to play at every level on the defense. He can line up at linebacker depth to play from the outside or the interior and use his speed to cover against receivers or shoot gaps to blow up the run. His size and speed make him a nightmare defender when coming off the edge as a rusher or stalking the underneath coverage areas when defending against the pass. Wright is an ideal candidate for a hybrid strong safety role for a top-tier program looking for a do-all defender.
