Drake is yet another Rockford QB that’s been able to come in and put up amazing stats. 65% passing with 2056 yards, and a 24/4 TD/INT ratio with a difficult schedule is impressive. In fact, the stats are better than last year’s QB Mac VandenHout, who is at Davenport now.

I don’t think Drake is a high-tier GLIAC prospect, but I am surprised more D3 schools aren’t taking a chance on him. He’s a good playmaker within this offense, attacks the middle of the field often, and generally finds guys to make plays. His overall accuracy, throw power, and timing could be improved, but there’s no doubt that he’s got the IQ be a good game manager that doesn’t make mistakes. If he puts in the same amount of effort he has in the past year than I think he’s a good Division 3 quarterback.
