I am very familiar with Owen after scouting him multiple times. Every time I watch him, I am more confident in my assessment. Owen is a good deep threat that runs solid routes and has hands for days. His athleticism and ability to make contested catches is definitely on the higher end. I think his senior season will allow him to make the jump into an extremely productive wideout.

I really liked what I saw out of Owen in week 1. He offers a good sized target who runs good routes and a wide catch radius. He’s athletic and does a great job of using his mix of speed and athleticism to win against pretty good coverage. I will absolutely be keeping my eye on him this season to see his progression as he starts to get more reps and targets than ever.

Owen is coming off an excellent JV campaign. Six TDs and north of 500 yards receiving is nothing to scoff at. Owen was primarily utilized out wide for Rockford. He’s someone who would consistently look to take the top off of the defense. Add a few offseason clips to the mix, and I’m confident that Owen can keep being that deep threat at the Varsity level. Plus, he’ll likely be a factor in the return game.
A fairly bullish ranking for Owen. With this ranking, I’m expecting him to earn D2 looks next offseason. I feel he absolutely has the upside.

Owen will still hover around WR20 in the next rankings update, but I could see him having a breakout Junior season.
Right now, Owen has a good bit of experience as an outside receiver and kick returner. As a receiver, Owen is all gas. Plays like 0:53 showcase an ability to catch a lightly contested ball, evade a tackle, and score. That open-field ability shows up more when returning kicks. Lastly, there’s a good bit of blocking highlights.
Owen seems like a pretty well-rounded receiver. He’s now an upper-clasman, and I’m hoping Owen gets to Varsity and is able to stand out.

Rockford always seems to have a guy like Owen. A good sized receiver on the outside running streaks down the sideline and post routes past the secondary. Owen fits that mold, no question about it. On top of that, he seems like a natural at kick returns, with multiple long returns on his highlights.
On the outside, he has no issue getting up the boundary and getting by the DB. He has some post routes as well where he breaks and turns on the jets by the defender. When he gets the ball in his hands, he can deal extra damage with his good vision and solid IQ. I am excited to see how he can raise his stock against some stout varsity competition in a tough league.
