The big man out of Rockford has been grinding and evolving over the last year. He possesses great size and a mean disposition. Cronk thrives in the run game, getting under the pads of his opponent and keeping his legs chopping as he drives his man out of the play. In the passing game, he displays solid balance and a good initial punch. Rockford consistently churns out well coached offensive linemen ready made for the next level, and Carter is looking like the next great one for the Rams.

I’ve seen many players like Carter over the years. He’s a big, powerful offensive lineman, and the upside is clear. I watched Carter in person for a few series against Caledonia. There, I was satisfied with his effort, as he always played to the whistle. Additionally, he was a consistnet force in the run game, always getting to his spots, and moving defenders.

Carter is still a little raw fundamentally. His footwork and foot speed can absolutely improve. Additionally, he needs to be more balanced when run and pass blocking. He moves a bit slower than other tackles, but that’s expected when you’re 6’7″. Still, I’ve got him ranked #63 in the state, and I’m expecting college interest to spike this spring.
