From D1 talent all the way down to D3 and JUCO level talent, there will be a plethora of kids to recruit on both sides of the ball for both squads. This article will highlight a few players from each team to watch for in this fantastic regional championship game.
I am so excited to see this dude play this weekend. He’s strong, physical and moves extremely well. Tyler is starting to receive some college attention, but I think he needs even more. I think this Saturday is a prime night to raise his stock a ton! Keep an eye out for him to rise to the occasion and be impossible to block.

Sawyer has been slinging it all season long. At over 1,900 yards this season and 29 passing touchdowns, it’s hard to deny he’s one of the most underrated QBs left in the playoffs. He does a great job of avoiding pressure in the pocket, and does a great job of adjusting his arm slot to deliver the ball through any passing lane he gets. I can’t wait to see what he does against a really solid defense for Rockford.
Seeing this dude in person has been on my radar for awhile and I am pumped to finally get the chance. He’s got a huge frame, he’s a complete mauler, and from everything I hear he crushes weights and performs well in physical tests like broad jump. His film tells you this is a P5 offensive lineman in the making. I’m excited to see him work.
AJ is a utility guy no doubt about it. He can run the ball extremely well, he is willing and able in the passing game, and they’ve even trusted him to throw the ball on some trickery. I’m super pumped to see how they utilize him and his elite athleticism against a tough defense. I think just getting it done on the ground won’t quite be enough. The Rockford defense will have to defend him running routes as well and he is a good pass catcher with a knack for YAC. Be on the lookout for a big game from AJ.
Rockford has been rolling, and a lot of it comes from the arm of their stud QB. Everything I hear about him is how well he reads a defense, and hits the open guy in stride. It’s easy at this level to throw a bit late or overthrow, but on film you don’t see that. I am so excited to watch him utilize his weapons on Saturday, and I am also excited to see how he handles some pressure and adversity from a hungry Davison defense that will be looking to rattle him early.
Isaac is an extremely athletic guy in the secondary, who has great quickness, can stay lockstep with receivers, and can come downhill in the run game. He mainly is roaming about as a safety, and I think that suits him nicely. He reacts quickly, has fantastic closing speed, and he brings some solid hits to separate receiver from ball. Can’t wait to see him in person and finally get a good read on him!
Cayden is a burner with an impressive ability to get loose no matter what. Whether it’s on sweeps, or burning quick routes out of the slot, Cayden can find green grass anywhere. Although he is a bit undersized compared to some, I am excited to see how crafty he can get against the Davison defense, and how Rockford can utilize him to stretch the field vertically.

Alex is a big, nasty and physical mauler in the trenches. He should be a big piece of this offense again Saturday evening, as he is an aggressive run blocker, and a super stable pass blocker. I’m super excited to see how he does against the big defensive line from Davison, and how much time he can give his QB for plays to develop. This game is going to be won and lost in the trenches, and I’m pumped to see how Alex steps up.

Ryan is a guy who is going to be getting a lot of burn on Saturday evening. A true 2 way player at linebacker and running back, it’s going to be a tiring night for the Ferris State commit. Offensively, Ahern is a patient runner with good vision and a knack for falling forward. Defensively he is a downhill linebacker who loves contact, and is solid at shedding blocks and getting to his assignment. He might be the one I am most pumped to see work as he could really be an X- Factor in this game.
Overall, this game should have tons of fireworks, and a ton of prospects to check out as well. Tune in next week as I’ll have the game recap and performance reviews of these guys and more that I discover as well!
