AJ is an absolute dude at the RB position. His vision and ability to start and stop on a dime makes him an elusive back on every snap. Even though it sounds like he was playing injured, he still showed a few times just why he was such a highly recruited kid. His bag of tricks between his vision, lateral movement and breakaway speed are something you just don’t see at this level. I have no doubt that this dude will make a big time impact at Ferris State.

I’m extremely hyped for AJ to hit the field at Ferris State. Out of all of the GLIAC commits, AJ may be the one that I’m most confident in. Hence the #34 ranking; I strongly believe that AJ is a D1 guy.
AJ is currently utilized as a great receiving back. Get AJ the ball in the open field, and he’ll surgically navigate through the defense for an explosive play. In the backfield, AJ is also a great elusive back who can do damage between the tackles. However, in college, I think AJ will be best utilized as a return man and as a primary receiving running back. This coming season, AJ should have another phenomenal season, and I think he could be an early contributor once he gets to Ferris.

AJ is a major home run hitter. Any carry he gets could go the distance. I really like the ability to catch the ball or run the ball. Anything you want to do to get him touches, he’s there for it. He’s super shifty and athletic, with a burst to the second level that is nearly unmatched. When he gets out in space, this dude is as good as it gets. His sudden change in direction is amazing, and stresses the defense out. If defenses don’t stay home, AJ makes them pay pretty consistently. He’s a can’t miss talent that will inevitably be a stud at the D1 level.

The fact that AJ is only a Junior should terrify everyone in his path. He runs so hard, has extremely elusive moves, but can also run through some chests. Last night when they needed to put the game on ice, he did that. Everyone knew he was getting the ball, and he would turn a short 2 yard gain into a 5-7 yard gain after breaking tackles. He ended up popping a huge TD run to make it 28-7, essentially dashing any hopes of a Ram comeback. He played like every snap was his last and was making the most of every carry, and was also solid taking screen passes for first downs and extra yardage. He is the total package when it comes to the RB position. He’s another kid getting some MAC attention, and I wouldn’t be shocked if some P5 teams come knocking soon.
