Stats: 30 Carries, 225 Yards, 2 TDsrnWe have written about Carson a few times this season, but I never regret turning on him most recent tape. The strong, big, dominating senior athlete takes over games on both sides of the ball. He runs so angry. Carson is always ready to lower a shoulder and churn his legs as he runs over a DB or LB. Bilitz is able to keep his feet in those high traffic/high contact plays and pick up yards after contact. Then when he gets into the open field he has enough long speed to create the big gains. The senior is an even better prospect on defense in my eyes and needs to be looked at there too. Rangy, hard hitter, and a strong blocker shedder who stifles the inside run game and can pursue out to the sideline. Get this kid on your boards. It’s time.

Stats: 25 Carries, 251 Yards, 5 TDsrnThis kid is a runaway freight train out of the backfield. Carson is such a powerful athlete. One that I can see playing LB or RB at the next level. Focusing on offense, Carson makes the defense earn their tackles. He lowers the shoulder and pumps that strong lower body to generate yards after contact. Downfield, the senior also has some lateral wiggle to into make DBs miss. Bilitz rounds out his game with enough speed to be able to break off the long gains when he hits the open field. I am a big fan of the physical athlete, and believe he can definitely contribute at the next level.

Stats: 23 Carries, 208 Yards, 1 TDrnThe Waterford workhorse was back at it again on Friday night. The 6′ 215 lbs senior RB is a strong, tone setting RB who plays behind his pads and runs his feet through contact. However, this week’s film starts off with examples of the speed. Carson is able to pull away in the open field on his TD and show that second gear needed for the college level. Throughout the film we also see some lateral agility and ability to jump cut away from filled gaps. Of course, we also see the contact balance as he breaks through tackle attempts. Carson also showed off a devastating stiff arm this week. Give this film a look. There is a spot for Bilitz’s talents at the next level.

Power and balance is the name of the game for the 215 lbs RB. Carson is a load to bring down when he totes the rock. He runs behind his pads very well and runs his feet through contact. Carson also plays with a low center of gravity. If defenders don’t gang tackle or hit him at/below his waist Bilitz is going to have the advantage to break the tackle. Carson also has enough lateral agility to his game to give himself some elusiveness in open field, one on one situations vs a defender. He can shake them with that agility or he can adjust his path so that he isn’t taking direct hits; making it easier to break loose. Carson is a hard-nosed, workhorse back with tone setting power. I am looking forward to a big senior campaign.

Carson is a hard running ball carrier on the field, and this offseason we have gotten a look into where that power comes from. He recently hit a 475 lbs squat, and on the 14th hit the lift in the video below. Bilitz took 225 lbs for a ride to the tune of 15 reps. We are going to see athletes at the NFL combine this week not hit that number. Carson made it look like a warm up. Expect big numbers, and a lot of broken tackles from his this fall.

Stats: 17 Carries, 102 Yards, 1 TDrnThe 5’11” 215 lbs junior RB/LB had a strong performance at FB for Waterford in Week 6. The compact athlete fits the role well in Waterford’s offense. He relies on power, which perfectly fits the downhill, north- south running needed for the position. Carson is a decisive runner who can make subtle lateral shifts in the hole, but looks like he prefers to lower his shoulder and gain the tough yards. He plays FB like he plays LB. Downhill, aggressive, and hard hitting. I do project him best as an LB at the next level, but I like to see the same traits show up on offense.
