Expert Analysis
Matt DeBary | Prep Redzone Scout
An athletic, versatile defensive lineman who can play inside or on the edge, Bell plays for one of the best high school programs in the country and gives them a tough, dependable defender in the trenches who can clog running lanes and attack the quarterback. The 6-foot-3 260-pounder has proved to be one of the best pass-rushers in North Fulton and across the 5A class, getting the quarterback to the ground eight times so far this fall with 62 tackles and 16 TFLs. He’s one of the top defensive line prospects in the state and is currently committed to Arkansas. Bell and the Milton Eagles take on Dutchtown this weekend in the second round.

in person several times during his HS career, and his performance against Buford was perhaps the best I have seen him play. He has always been a dangerous power-speed threat, but his ability to shed blocks and force blockers off-platform was what stood out to me. He can get after the QB when free of blockers, but his ability to sit in the ring and battle with his hands has come a long way. Bell is currently committed to Arkansas, and at this rate, he will continue generating major buzz nationally.

I got a chance to watch Bell this past weekend and came away amazed by his performance. On the season, he has terrorized opposing QBs with 8 sacks. He has also compiled 36 tackles. In my opinion, Bell has all the makings of a major D1 defensive line prospect. He has good size at around 6’3 250, and is getting bigger. He is incredibly explosive off the line, is physical at the point of attack, and has good pursuit skills. With every snap, Bell is instantly in the backfield and causing havoc. His ability to rush the passer likely projects him at DE, but he is versatile and physical enough to clog up some running lanes in the middle of the defense. Whichever way you look at it, Bell is a nightmare for QBs and is still extremely young.
