The offers continue to roll in for one of the top 2028 defensive back prospects in the metro-Atlanta area. After a giant sophomore season where he made play after play for the Milton Eagles defensive, Wonsley is seeing his recruitment continue to take off with recent offers from Florida State, Mississippi State, Missouri, Kentucky, among others. Ranked as a top-50 prospect in the state for his class, Wonsley is fresh off a fantastic sophomore season for one of the best programs in the state, making 43 tackles, over 11 pass-breakups, and five INTs in coverage. Don’t be surprised if his offer list continues to grow by the end of the spring.

Another North Fulton junior on the rise, Wonsley is a playmaking defensive back for the mighty Milton Eagles who is fresh off a big season where he made 52 tackles and an eye-opening five INTs. He’s a ball-hawk down the field who blanketed impressive receivers all year long. Against quality competition on a weekly basis, Wonsley shined in coverage and always found a way to make a play. His talent and potential is easy to see and it’s led to several impressive offers over the last few weeks. Look for Wonsley to be even better as a junior in 2026.

A big name to know in North Fulton having a really strong sophomore season, Winsley has been a consistently impactful player this fall for one of the best programs in the state. He’s a natural in coverage with impressive ball-skills and big-play ability, picking off four passes against really quality competition. He’s also made 32 tackles and has shown easy Power Four talent. As good as he is already, Wonsley should be even better as a junior next fall and beyond. He’s a 2028 defensive back who should see a big jump in the next Prep Redzone rankings update.

Wonsley is one of my favorite players in the 2028 class as a whole. There is a lot to like about what he brings to the table, and there are many different traits that he is already ahead of his class on. He is a ball hawk, which is something you don’t see as much from the 2028 class, but the coverage and understanding of the game catches my eye the most. He can be a bit aggressive at times, but if I were a defensive coordinator, I would be a happy man with the production he has had. He has been able to bait some good QBs into throwing something that would make you scratch your head if you are a QB coach. Wonsley is a guy that plays for the football, but has enough understanding to swat it if needed.

A new playmaking defensive back to know for the mighty Milton Eagles, Wonsley has been a dynamic playmaker for one of the state’s best teams and has done it as a sophomore. He had a giant week one to start his 2025 season against Buford, making six tackles and one INT. He’s also been a reliable defender in coverage down the field. He brings a promising frame, quickness, instincts, ball skills, and does a good job of tackling around the ball-carriers feet. He’s one of the top 2028 defensive back prospects in the North Fulton area and might be in store for breakout season if he continues to develop and play at a high level.

Keelan Wonsley Keelan Wonsley DB Milton | 2028 State GA had his varsity breakout on national TV against Buford, coming away with an INT. There’s a lot to like here with Wonsley, and it looks like he has a massive opportunity this fall to prove himself.
He comes in around 6’0 180, and is well-developed for his age. He might end up projecting more as a nickel body type, but it’s still early to pin him down to a specific spot. I will make a note of him and continue to track his development this fall.
