He had a strong final season at Corbin, finishing the year with 63 tackles and two tackles for loss. Wells played in an off-ball outside linebacker role and did a great job of defending the run. He showed the ability to read his keys quickly and react quickly to flow to the ball. Once he got to the ball carrier, he showed that he is a very reliable open field tackler. While he is good against the run, Wells is even more impressive against the pass. He showed the ability to drop into zone coverage and also run with receivers and tight ends in man coverage. When the ball was thrown his way, Wells showed the ability to break on the ball with perfect timing to catch interceptions in stride, finishing the year with four interceptions and returning one of them for a touchdown. Brody is committed to Eastern Kentucky where I see him finding a key role on their defense.

While he has been mainly known for his talent on defense, Brody Wells Brody Wells 6'2" | 210 lbs | LB Corbin | 2023 State KY made an impact on both sides of the ball this past Friday in a 49-35 victory over a talented Franklin County team. On offense, Brody lined up at receiver and caught two passes for 68 yards and two touchdowns. He also carried the ball three times for 17 yards. Wells continued to impress on defense at outside linebacker, finishing the game with four total tackles and an interception which he returned for a touchdown. Wells is committed to play at Eastern Kentucky where I see finding a key role eventually but first he will look to help lead his team to one more victory in the 4A State Championship Game against a very talented Boyle County team this weekend.

Brody Wells Brody Wells 6'2" | 210 lbs | LB Corbin | 2023 State KY is a player that I’ve had high on my radar for a while as he was our top ranked linebacker in our class of 2023 rankings for Kentucky this off-season. He continued to impress in his final regular season, finishing with 47 total tackles, one tackle for loss, and three interceptions. The biggest thing that stood out to me in his game is his ability in pass coverage. He is able to use his speed and athleticism to open up and run with receivers in man coverage. When the ball is thrown his way, he shows tremendous ball skills, catching interceptions at their highest point. Against the run, he does a great job of reading his keys from outside linebacker and comes downhill in a hurry. Once he gets to the ball carrier, he explodes through contact to secure the tackle in the open field. Brody is committed to Eastern Kentucky where I can see him developing into a key player for them.

Another linebacker that I am very high on is Corbin senior Brody Wells Brody Wells 6'2" | 210 lbs | LB Corbin | 2023 State KY . He is our top ranked linebacker in the class of 2023. Brody lines up at outside linebacker but I believe he could play a true inside linebacker if asked to. He does an excellent job of reading his keys and reacting quickly to come downhill and make plays. When the ball is away from him, Wells does a great job of taking the right angles to get to the ball and is an excellent open field tackler. Wells is also very reliable in coverage as he is fluid in his drops and has the ability to turn and run with tight ends and receivers out of the slot in man coverage. Brody is committed to Eastern Kentucky and I believe that he can be a very successful player for them.
