Metro Christian has a new quarterback as 2029 signal caller Brody Smith Brody Smith 6'3" McLoud | 2027 OK moved over from Regent Prep earlier this year. Smith started for the Rams last season but has made the move to Metro and looks to be an instant impact player for the Patriots this season. His freshman film is incredibly impressive and now he steps into the QB1 role with Metro Christian, which historically has quarterbacks that put up monster numbers. When we got a shortened chance to watch Smith in person in the spring, he looked the part. It wouldn’t be surprising if we look up in November and December and Smith is one of the top passers in the state, regardless of class.

Metro Christian quarterback Brody Smith Brody Smith 6'3" McLoud | 2027 OK had a very successful freshman year at Regent Prep before it was ended prematurely in week nine against Talihina. Smith came into his freshman season with plenty of hype. He’s the son of former Tulsa QB Paul Smith and already picked up an offer from the Golden Hurricane. Would Smith live up to that hype? You be the judge. In their first game against Haskell, Smith threw for 470 yards and three touchdowns while also adding 98 yards and a touchdown on the ground. It was safe to say that the hype was real. In January, Smith moved from Regent Prep to Metro Christian. And we’ve been on the record plenty of times before about Metro Christian and quarterbacks. The Patriots are one of the best programs in the state when it comes to producing quarterbacks that put up numbers and can compete at a very high level. We’re looking forward to seeing him with his new squad in the spring.

Regent Prep quarterback Brody Smith Brody Smith 6'3" McLoud | 2027 OK has had some highs and lows this season but the highs in our opinion vastly outweigh the lows. Smith won a QB battle for the starting job and he came out absolutely firing in his first ever start. In a 46-41 win over Haskell, Smith threw for 470 yards and three touchdowns on 30-50 passing. He also added 20 carries for nearly 100 yards and a score. 50 pass attempts and 20 carries in your first ever start is probably not what you draw up but that’s what was needed to get the win and he answered the call. Smith, who’s dad is former Tulsa QB Paul Smith, received his first offer from the Golden Hurricane. He’s a legacy prospect for TU and one that has come out slinging it in his first year. There will be growing pains along the way but Smith has really impressed us with his overall production so far this season.

is the first of two quarterbacks that will be battling to be QB1 for the Rams this season. And as we mentioned earlier, whoever steps into this role is replacing the best quarterback in school history. It’s not going to be easy but Smith could be the guy. Just a freshman, he’s already emerged as a 2029 prospect that we’ll need to know about moving forward. He’s the son of former Tulsa quarterback Paul Smith and earlier this offseason, Brody earned an offer from his dad’s alma mater. We won’t be surprised to see Smith take the field this fall in some capacity.
