Our first player to watch is one that was just destined for a breakout season this fall. Senior wide receiver Brendon McQueen Brendon McQueen 6'0" | WR Union | 2024 State OK is healthy and is ready to make a big impact on the field this week and throughout the season. McQueen missed a lot of the 2022 season and is making up for lost time this fall. McQueen, combined with fellow senior Jino Boyd Jino Boyd 6'0" | WR Union | 2024 State OK , gives Union two great options in the pass game and they aren’t the only two. The tight end position is deep and there are a few other names in the pass game that are making impacts this season. McQueen is a player that we really like moving forward as a breakout contender this fall and more college coaches are certainly going to start paying attention to what he does as he continues to produce. He’s off to a great start and a game against Jenks is a great platform to make plays and open a few more eyes.

In the last few 7v7 tournaments we’ve covered where 918 Elite was playing, McQueen has stood out almost every time. A new thing that stood out to us this weekend was his versatility. McQueen would turn around and play some defense and he wasn’t just an extra body out there. He was making plays at a high level with some consistency. But when it comes down to it, McQueen is a wide receiver and that’s what he did best this weekend. He made some really good catches throughout the tournament and we think that his game is continuing to grow and he can contribute to the Union offense this fall. Union could very well lean more on the passing game this season and McQueen will certainly give them another weapon at the wide receiver position.
