Expert Analysis
Caleb Sisk | Prep Redzone Scout
There isn’t a more impactful player in this game, as the talented linebacker has been dominant at both linebacker and tight end. He is one of the better players in the state, and he remains a top prospect in the state of Georgia when it comes to playing with aggression. He wants to get the ball back, as he plays a lot of see-ball-hit-ball. He is someone that I have covered multiple times this season, and he is currently committed to the Tennessee Volunteers, as he is someone that I could consider as the best linebacker in the state, away from maybe one or two names that have been more productive in the full high school years. He is someone who can change the outcome of this game on both offense and defense.

A do-it all athlete currently committed to Tennessee, Rouse is a playmaking receiver who also happens to be one of the best linebackers across the country. He’s ranked as the No. 18 overall prospect in the state and he showed why in his 2025 season opener. Rouse made a massive impact in Kell’s big win, catching five passes for 85 yards and two touchdowns. He’s a natural on the field who can help his Longhorn team in many different ways. He’s a mismatch as a pass-catcher due to his 6-foot-3 210-pound frame and an outstanding defender with toughness and physicality on defense. He was clearly one of the best players on the field on Wednesday night to kick off the 2025 Corky Kell Classic.

has transformed over the last year into not just one of the best players in the state, but one of the top players in the country. He is only continuing to rise and will push for 5-star status. Rouse is a giant in the second-level and moves like a deer, making the field look small and closing space to the ball with just a few strides. When in coverage, he plays like a safety, and is impossible to bend the ball around. If he needs to slide down and play EDGE or flip around and play some TE, he will do that too. He has the bend, speed, hands, and instincts to do everything at a high level. Rouse has room to easily get to 225+, which will only make his game more well-rounded. I don’t typically project to the NFL, but it’s hard not to do so with

has more than earned his spot among the best. His film tells the full story—explosive off the snap, relentless in pursuit, and a natural playmaker who thrives in both run defense and coverage. Whether he’s meeting a ball carrier in the hole with force or dropping back to disrupt passing lanes, his instincts and versatility make him a nightmare for offenses. His speed allows him to cover sideline to sideline with ease, and his physicality at the point of attack separates him from the rest. College programs have taken notice, and with over 40 Division I offers, he has cemented himself as one of the most sought-after defenders in the country.

apart is his ability to change the momentum of a game with a single play. He diagnoses offenses quickly, rarely falling for fakes, and consistently puts himself in a position to make an impact. His combination of size, speed, and football IQ allows him to be effective in any defensive scheme, making him a valuable asset at the next level. His film backs up all the hype, showing a linebacker who not only dominates but elevates the entire defense around him. With so many top programs vying for his commitment, the future is bright for this elite Georgia linebacker.

is on a fast track to becoming one of the premier 2026 LB prospects in the state. Rouse, formerly a WR prospect before filling out to 6’3 205, flashed excellent coverage and tackling skills against North Atlanta. He is long and athletic, gifting him with a large tackling radius, absorbing ball carriers in the second level. He came away with an INT, getting his head around to find the ball and high-pointing it out of the air. He also turned around and made a couple of plays on offense as a receiver. With his range, measurables, and ball skills, Rouse projects as an elite coverage LB who is nearly impossible to throw over. He added an offer from Texas after his performance and has broken the threshold as a nationally known recruit.

was the biggest eye-catcher of the offseason for me. Rouse was a WR projection in his younger years, but it looks like he has grown out of that spot, already up to 6’3 205 and looking to transition to LB, while still taking some reps on offense. Rouse is an impressive specimen when it comes to his traits. His blend of length and speed gives him plenty of range and the ability to cloud passing windows over the MOF. He has plenty of room to fill out and get to 225+, and when he does, he should be able to impose his will physically even more than he does now. Rouse is hard to miss, He is a huge athlete that runs like a deer in space. He is a P4 LB projection and still has another year of growth in the tank.

is the Swiss army knife for Kell and could be on the verge of a massive breakout season. Rouse has played mostly WR in his career, and will continue to do so. However, he will take some reps at TE and even at LB, where he stands out. He is still on the thinner side for a LB, but there is plenty of physical development left in the tank here. He is light on his feet and plays with patient footwork. He can mirror the football out of the backfield by shuffling and can settle down in an alley against faster ball carriers. Not to mention his ability to click and quickly run to the football. I love his upside at LB and believe he can be a P4 recruit at that spot.
