Expert Analysis
Matt DeBary | Prep Redzone Scout
Another new name to know in Cobb County, Pierce is a big quarterback with plenty of arm talent at 6-foot-3 190-pounds. A natural athlete who can make plays on the run, Pierce shows above-average arm talent who could have a major junior season for the Kell Longhorns this fall. As a backup last season, playing in six games, the promising Marietta, Georgia native threw for just under 200 yards and one touchdown. His talent and potential last season, even in a reserve role, was easy to notice. He’s now been added to the latest rankings update and will hope to lead the Longhorns to a big 2026 season.

Pierce, who has already generated some D1 buzz, is next in line and ready to emerge on the varsity scene this fall. Evidenced by several in-person exposures, Pierce has turned a corner in his development and looks like a totally new player this year. He is a big body who puts good drive on the ball. His delivery looks much more tight and comfortable today than it did a year ago, and he still has room to improve. He doubles as a basketball athlete, so while he is a tall and commanding player in the pocket, he has the juice to keep the offense on schedule with his legs. Pierce will be thrown into the fire this fall, and we will learn a lot about him quickly.
