Ben is a force on the defensive line. He has verified measurables at 6’5 and 240 pounds. The West Point commit exudes toughness and physicality on the football field. Ben uses his long arms to create leverage and position himself well to rush the passer. He shows impressive first step acceleration and explosiveness off the LOS. Ben will be a leader of the Suffield defense in 2024.

DE TE Suffield Academy CT/ Weight: 235 /Height: 6’5” / class of 2025/ 4.09 GPA rnHe is ranked as the #43 DL in the class of 2024 in New England.
I observed him using several different hand techniques when performing during drill period. His large lean muscular frame pops in the environment. He makes very good use of the length in his arms by shedding quickly and getting in position to make the play. Comes off the ball consistently with a low center of gravity. Gave a persistent effort each rep.

lands on the athletic side of the defensive line spectrum. Gorman’s reps with the ball in his hands will prove that notion to be true. Was tough for a bit, trying to decide if Gorman is a legitimate TE prospect, or should he be placed along with the defensive linemen. That being said, his tape answers this question quickly. Multiple sacks, great pursuit to the quarterback after shedding. Disciplined off the edge, he’s often left unblocked yet hardly bites on fakes. I can’t go without mentioning his blocking prowess at TE that he shows off later in his tape. If he can continue to block the way he does, he could be a legitimate TE prospect at the next level. I do wish the tape was 4-5 minutes longer, here’s to hoping the production will come next Fall.
