- 6’1, 240-pound 2029 DL/LB prospect out of Suffield Academy. Carries a 3.6 GPA and posted a 1.85-second 10-yard dash.
Currently ranked as one of the more promising 2029 prospects in New England. Since I’ll be taking over the New England rankings, this was a perfect opportunity to finally evaluate Reese in person after being away from the region for so long. He is already ranked inside the Top 50, and the listed measurables certainly check out. He won a good number of defensive line reps throughout the day. What intrigued me most was the combination of size and athleticism. At times he almost looks like a linebacker with enough strength and power to consistently win in the trenches. Most defensive linemen are easy to label. Reese is athletic enough to avoid being pigeonholed into one mold. Excited to cover him moving forward.

Reese’s game is built on physicality and athleticism, making him a natural fit for schemes that emphasize edge pressure and run defense. His has several standout traits. Reese plays with a relentless edge, bringing violence and intensity to every rep. He’s strong enough to hold his own against bigger blockers, using excellent leverage to maintain positioning and disrupt plays. This was evident in his ability to stack and shed, rarely getting washed out even against heavier offensive linemen. He’s particularly effective on the edge, where he thrives in open space. Reese demonstrated good bend around the corner, combining it with violent hands and impressive speed to create separation. His quick first step allows him to explode off the line, often putting blockers on their heels immediately.
Reese shows advanced instincts for his age, using good vision to read plays and react accordingly. He employs a diverse mix of moves—rips, swims, and spins—to beat blockers, avoiding predictability. This versatility helped him win the majority of his competitive reps, showcasing his ability to adapt mid-rep.
Overall, these attributes position Reese as a high-upside prospect that can thrive, especially in 3-4 or hybrid defenses that value twitchy edge rushers. Additionally, while his hand violence is a plus, refining placement could prevent occasional overextensions that savvy blockers might exploit.
