is a really talented 2027 DB out of Hoover who we’ve had our eyes on for a while now, and man, has he impressed.
Allen is a talented safety who can play the run and pass really well. I’m really impressed with his skills in coverage- he doesn’t let anyone get behind him, is quick to react, and has the ball skills to break up and intercept passes downfield.
Allen is just as good playing the run- he’s really good in pursuit and can cover tons of ground to wrap up and take down the ball carrier. I’m really impressed by how quickly he navigates the field- he’s almost always near the ball and does a great job helping his defense create stops every snap.
Allen has picked up offers from Arkansas and Georgia Southern over the last few days
Check out some of Allen’s tape down below, he’s a talented prospect with a big year ahead:

is a talented athlete/defensive back out of Hoover that made a ton of plays all over the field last fall. For the most part, Allen lines up at safety/nickelback and is able to really impact the opposing pass and run. Allen has some great tackling technique- he does a great job pursuing, wrapping up, and bringing down the ball carrier. In addition to his tackling skills, Allen can really make a big impact out in coverage. He has shown the ability to match up with a wide variety of receiver types and never gets beat downfield for big gains. Keep an eye on him going forward, he’s bringing a lot of good things to this Hoover defense and is only going to get better!

Allen is an extremely active 5-foot-10, 145-pound athlete for Bumpus Middle School who is often one of the best and most pliable kids on the field. He’s a versatile athlete who lines up at Wide Receiver on offense but excels even more on the defensive side of the ball at Linebacker. On offense he possesses sure hands in addition requisite speed and agility to make him a homerun threat. However, it’s the defensive side of the ball that us excited. On defense the future Hoover Buc is lightning-quick to the ball and often uses his speed and agility to avoid would-be blockers. On Saturday’s in the fall, you’ll often hear announcers on TV say something to the effect of, “wow, I can’t imagine what he was like to play against before college”. Well, here’s an example of such a prospect on the early side: He’s built like a Safety, plays with the speed of a Safety, but hits like a Linebacker. Stay tuned here.
