“Boatman is a hybrid nickel/S who flies around the field to provide great coverage and run support to Hoover’s defense. He’s quick and recognizes plays right after the snap, leading to some impressive pass breakups and run stops all over the field.
Boatman has impressive timing and speed out in coverage, he never gets beat over the top, is quick to react to opposing pass catchers, and has the ball skills and hands to pick off and break up passes with ease. When you combine that with his effort defending the run, it makes him an every down threat to opposing offenses.”
