Waluyn has seen his recruitment pick up a lot this past year, with Vanderbilt and other top programs taking interest. Make sure you watch some of his film from this past year; he’s a talented player with a huge year ahead next fall.

Waluyn is extremely versatile in coverage, excelling in both man and zone. His quick feet at the line of scrimmage allows him to mirror releases- allowing him to fully be comfortable against slot receivers. In zone he anticipates routes and squeezes passing lanes. His ability to lock down multiple positions makes him a key defensive weapon.

Waluyn had an impressive performance against Hewitt Trussville, providing great coverage, 6 tackles, and one PBU. I’ve been really impressed with Waluyn this season. He’s been playing at a high level and has competed with some of the best in the state.

Waluyn is a heat-seeking missile that Hillcrest will have to watch out for this week. He can play the run and defend the pass almost anywhere on the field. I’m excited to see how he’ll perform against Hillcrest’s talented passing attack.

Waluyn flew around the field last season, ending his sophomore year with 47 total tackles, 2 INTs, and 2 PBUs. 

Just like his teammate Anquan Allen Anquan Allen 5'11" | 150 lbs | DB State AL , Waluyn also picked up offers from Georgia Southern and Arkansas over the past weekend.

Waluyn is a talented safety who provides terrific coverage over the top and flies downfield to defend the run. Waluyn is quick, plays with a ton of speed and instincts, and can make some huge plays on the ball- he’s terrific at tracking and getting his hands on the football, frequently leading to pass breakups and interceptions. Waluyn is just as good at defending the run- he is excellent in pursuit, consistently tracking and bringing down the ball carrier in the open field and down by the line of scrimmage. Waluyn flew around the field and made tons of plays last season, ending his sophomore year with 47 total tackles, 2 INTs, and 2 PBUs. Waluyn picked up an offer from UT Martin a few weeks back, and will surely have more on the way soon- he’s a talented player set up for a huge season this fall.
