Shipley also showed a great feel for pressure, showing the ability to move in and escape the pocket to avoid opposing pass rushers. When the pocket collapsed, he showed the ability to tuck the ball and make plays on the ground to pick up positive yards. Shipley is committed to play college baseball at Saint Louis University but he has the talent to play quarterback at the next level if he wanted to.

This past season, he completed 112/178 passes for 1,945 yards, 26 touchdowns, and eight interceptions. One big thing that stood out to me when watching Shipley’s film is his feel for pressure. He has shown the ability to maneuver inside and escape the pocket to avoid pressure while keeping his eyes down the field to find the open receiver. When he escapes the pocket, Shipley has shown an impressive ability to make throws on the run. He has also shown impressive accuracy, showing the ability to fit passes into tight coverage and put the ball where only his receiver has a chance to catch it. Adam is committed to play baseball at Saint Louis University but definitely has the talent to play quarterback at the next level if he were to have a change of heart.

Adam’s playmaking ability shows slicing through traffic as a runner and breaking off numerous chunk plays executing designed quarterback runs. Anticipation shows on well-timed throws that land on the money in deep crossing patterns. Coaches like seeing Adam’s next level poise and mobility navigating traffic within the pocket and quickly resetting his feet before pressure gets to him.
