A Defensive End with very good size and a combination of quickness and strength that makes him a high-end prospect who has already received offers from South Carolina, Boston College, and Maryland. He displays very good upfield burst where he uses his acceleration, quickness, strength, and length to create leverage and set himself up to shed the block. He displays a good pass rush where he can win with both strength and quickness off the edge leading to 5 sacks in 7 games this past season. Versus the run, he can anchor himself hold the edge, and quickly move inside with his lateral movement to defend the inside run. Very good pursuit with a high-end motor. He has transferred to Woodgrove to play this fall and expect him to receive more offers in the future.

Fackel is a very intriguing prospect now at powerhouse, St. Frances. Already at 6’4 240lbs and skills that won him D-line MVP at PRZ Next and FBU camp, Maddox has a very tall ceiling. He’s relentless in pursuit and uses his long arms to his advantage, pushing blockers into the back field and making tackles sideline to sideline. Fackle landed his first offer to home state UMD after a visit in April. Keep an eye out for him to make it onto more power 5 recruiting boards fast.

Fackel made the trip to the Pennsylvania PRZ Next Rising Prospect camp from Virginia, and picked up the MVP. At 6-foot-4 and 230 pounds heading into his freshman season at national powerhouse St. Frances (Baltimore, MD) it was easy to see why he has offers from Maryland and Southern University already.

It was my second time seeing Fackel play live in as many weeks and it was a treat again. The northern Virginia native, who will be at St. Frances Academy in Baltimore, Maryland for high school ball, made the trip up to Pennsylvania and did his thing. Currently holds a Maryland offer. Had some great battles with Hiller and

throughout the day. Size, length and strength are big plusses right now. There’s room to improve flexibility, as he can move a little stiff sometime. This would help him be able to bend around the edge during pass-rush drills. That said, he performed just as I expected him to.

Right away you have to question how an eighth-grader can be built the way he is. Maddox is put together nicely in a t-shirt, then things get spooky with pads on. Maryland has offered already and I could see glimpses in practice of his potential. At Defensive end he was comfortable shedding blocks with his hands and getting to the ball. It looked right when he was standing up on the edge, but I was wanting to see him get into a 3 point stance. It wouldn’t hurt having him walk off the bus first either.
