P.J Holmes is an extremely lengthy 2025 WR out of Malvern Prep. He does a lot of good things on the field. His work ethic off the field is what sets him apart from other receivers. I consistently see clips of him in the gym, on the field, or on the court!
Let’s talk P.J Holmes recruitment. When it comes to his offers P.J was offered by Kent State first on 5/30. From there Colgate (5/22). After receiving his offer from Colgate Holmes decided to commit to Raiders. P.J will excel during his Senior season and I’m excited to watch it happen!

secured his first FBS offer out of Kent State. We are unsure if that offer still stands, as it currently sits as his only FBS offer to date.
Knowing of Holmes’ skillset like I do, I imagine he’s still a take for Kent State currently. 6’2, up to 190 from his previous 180 listing, 3.9 GPA, 38.6″ vert, can flirt with the DB position too. Ranked as a top-five wideout in his class, Holmes recently heard back from Colgate University in the form of a scholarship offer. Surprised his makeup hasn’t brought forth more interest from FCS programs. His FCS offer total is likely to climb sooner rather than later.

is a class of 2025 wide receiver that measures in at 6’2″ and 185 pounds. He is currently ranked the number 5 wide receiver in state of Pennsylvania. Currently holds a division 1 offer from Kent State that he picked up in May of 2023. At the tournament he made every catch thrown his way. He has a big catch radius. He proved to be a crafty route runner for his size that can work the middle of the field and the outside. He catches balls in traffic with his strong reliable hands and excellent ball skills. On several plays I witnessed him track the ball over the shoulder and make some elite catches down the field. This was clearly a strong trait of his. He made the catches look a lot easier than they are. Expecting a big senior season from him next fall and wouldn’t be surprised to see him roll in some more offers by then. A solid recruit to follow.

Holmes has good size and quality speed to go along with. The 6-foot-1 / 6-foot-2 wide reciever has a reported 4.6 forty-yard dash time with a 4.4 shuttle. He’s also posted an 11.4 100 meter dash as well. Was really impressive this season as a junior for Malvern Pre. H’s a good route runner that’s quick off the line, that allows him to garner some pretty consistent and strong seperation from defenders. Good catch radius with the ability to make contested catches regulary, very good at high pointing the football when asked to as well. Has all the tools to be a reliable pass catcher at the next level.

Happy to see one of my favorite traits out of Holmes displayed on the first rep of his junior tape. One of the smoothest, easiest gliders at his position. Holmes is a tough kid to stay on the hip of if you’re not physical with him at some point throughout his route. A free release, one where he can rev up his stride, he’s going to beat you deep. Phenomenal with the ball coming down, hand-eye coordination is at its best right now. Tape shows off his ability to score from various pre-snap locations. Throw a fade inside of the 15, Holmes can stack and create a window for his QB to throw into. You can bet he’ll come down with the football too. Yes, he can stretch the field vertically, yes Holmes can serve as a red zone eater, yet I don’t think I give enough voice to the chain-mover he can be inside of 12 yards. Malvern Prep doesn’t live or die by the deep ball, Holmes being a trustworthy stick/hitch/slant/curl catcher inside of 12 yards is crucial for this offense to get going. Holmes’ junior tape showcases he can flash his numbers back to the QB and, again, provide a window to throw into. Expect an already highly-ranked prospect to stay or even climb after we release our next rankings update. Special player.

Malvern Prep’s Preston “PJ” Holmes has all the tools, both in terms of size and athleticism, to surmount all of the talent listed above. I truly believe that, Holmes has heard that from me man to man. It’s not smoke either, the young pass-catcher’s frame is growing seemingly with each event. Holmes gets to develop under one of the more seasoned and hands-on coaching staffs in Eastern Pennsylvania, so Holmes is learning how to utilize his growing skillset as well. Health at the QB position should bode well for Holmes’ tape in November. He’s a clear candidate for extensive college interest so long as he keeps his foot on the pedal. Kent State offered Holmes on May 30th.

Preston PJ Holmes is already inside the top 60, already placed as the 6th best wideout in his class, can he realistically jump that far up the rankings? Yes. I’ve said it before, his high rank was still a modest one. Holmes has a legitimate shot to take the top wideout spot among his 2025 classmates, I’ve said this in pieces before, as well as directly to Holmes himself. A bit more targets, a slightly heftier tape, and the potential FBS suitors will come, I stood on this notion. Well, after some months, FBS coaches got the jump and extended offers to the young man before more validation could come. This uptick in FBS attention has me itching to stamp him inside the top five, maybe the top three at his position. He could climb higher. Here’s to hoping Holmes maximizes his potential this coming Fall. Kent State recently became the first program to offer the Malvern Prep pass-catcher.
