Expert Analysis
Avery Hawkins | Prep Redzone Scout
Singleton committed to D1 FCS powerhouse Delaware over a bunch of programs. Kaeden is an explosive pass-rushing DE and an athletic TE/H-back. The Blue Hens won Kaeden over D1s such as Bowling Green, Princeton, Holy Cross, Eastern Kentucky, and Maine. Singleton will look to lead Canon Mac further into the postseason in ’23.

Singleton was a highly sought-after recruit prior to his commitment. The DE/TE/H-back fielded multiple D1 offers from programs such as Bowling Green, Montana State, Maine, Mercer, Lehigh, and Bucknell, to name a few. Singleton is a fluid athlete with a big motor on the field. He is an effective pass rusher who plays with physicality. On offense, he runs good routes and boasts soft catching hands. His size, speed, and strength help him when he’s blocking as a TE/H-back. In the end, Kaeden made his commitment to the D1 Delaware Blue Hens. Singleton has all the attributes needed to be a weapon on both sides of the ball this season.

Canon-McMillan’s Kaeden Singelton announced his commitment to Delaware just three days ago. I’m always intrigued with Delware’s movements in PA, intrigued by the way the program handles recruiting in Eastern PA. Yet here are the Blue Hens nabbing a Western PA prospect, a top-70 one at that. 6’2, 225, a moldable and desirable frame, quality reps at LB/DE/TE, Delaware has to be drooling at the young man’s potential. 20+ opportunities under Singleton’s belt, Delware gets him.

Kaeden has a host of FBS programs recruiting him but none have pulled the trigger yet. Kaeden shows good bend pass rushing the Quarterback. It’s clear that Singleton’s a D1-caliber athlete when you watch his movements. He fires out of stance quickly, and he’s a mismatch athletically versus a standard OT. At 6’2 he has the adequate height to bat passes down. Kaeden continually improved his engagement & disengagement at the point of attack during the season. He doesn’t take plays off and he redirects well when chasing ball carriers. Cannon Mac’s junior DE is physical with violent hands. Singleton plays with instincts that will only improve with a strong off-season. He’s also an athletic, physical blocking, pass-catching TE. Kaeden is well-equipped to be a D1 DE, H-back, or TE.

Kaeden has been getting FBS attention but no offers as of yet. Singleton has the frame to add more weight & still obtain athleticism. His overall ability is apparent when he’s flexed out at TE running routes. I like his get off & pass rush ability at DE the most. At 6’2 he has the height to get into throwing lanes & make it difficult for opposing QBs. It’s evident that he’s still improving with shedding blocks, but he has natural instincts pursuing ball carriers. At TE his physicality is on display pancaking defenders on his game highlights. Singleton will also be valuable on special teams on the next level for some lucky program.
