Luke Sohyda Luke Sohyda 6'4" | 255 lbs | TE Canon-McMillan | 2028 State PA is a great athlete in the 2028 class. He is the top-ranked tight end prospect in the 2028 class. He is such a good athlete that he switched from tight end to offensive tackle, and he excelled. He has the size (6’4”), strength, and athleticism that allow him to play well at multiple positions, including as an edge defender last year, where he was a menace on the outside. This season, he looks like he is shifting back to tight end. Looking at the 7-on-7 film this summer, he has excelled. His recruitment has blown up with multiple offers coming his way. A few notable offers are Ohio State, Virginia Tech, and Pitt. He has plenty of options when he chooses his college. I expect a big season from Sohyda.

As an edge defender, he does a good job of maintaining the edge. He shows a good motor that never stops, as he chases plays all over the field at a high level. Then, on offense, he showed a good ability to block as a tight end. He was moved to offensive tackle, where he made a big impact playing that position on the team. Either as a tight end or an offensive tackle, he should be able to maintain a high level of performance on offense. Then, on defense, he should continue to play well on the edge.

Luke is a three-sport athlete. He has excellent athleticism at tight end and on the defensive line. He possesses great play strength and shows a good motor. At tight end, Luke is used as an inline blocker. He has excellent technique and drives off contact. As a defensive lineman, he has great burst off the edge. He has a good bull rush and can drive tackles back viciously to get to the quarterback. With more to look at on film after the 2025 season, I believe Luke will be a bigger name than he already is.
