Game of the Week Prospect Preview: De La Salle vs Brother Rice

On Friday night, we have a highly anticipated matchup between 2 Catholic League powers. De La Salle is off to a good start after a tough 2025 that still saw some postseason success, and the talented Brother Rice squad that has legitimate blue chippers at nearly every position on the field. Below we will take a look at a few of the big-time prospects I am excited to get notes on this week!

[player_tooltip player_id='1689091' first='Sam' last='Eyde III'] | QB | 2027 | Brother Rice |

The Brother Rice QB appears to be off to a hot start in 2026! I got the chance to see him work a little bit over the offseason, but I still haven't watched him in a game setting. I will be looking at how quickly he gets the ball out, his decision making and how he processes what the defense is throwing at him. I have no doubt he has legitimate physical tools, but I am excited to see how cerebral he can be.

[player_tooltip player_id='977460' first='Tyler' last='Trusel'] | WR | 2028 | Brother Rice |

Selfishly, I am just excited to see Tyler play. Everything that I have seen on film of him is electric. He's nearly impossible to matchup with thanks to incredible speed and sticky hands. I am excited to see his frame in person and see what he looks like against a talented DLS defense.

[player_tooltip player_id='1158729' first='Kameron' last='Lowe'] | DB | 2029 | Brother Rice |

Maybe one of my favorite 2029 prospects, I have seen him work in the offseason and saw flashes of greatness. A rare mix of speed and length, this dude can cover the entire secondary nearly by himself. I'll be watching how physical he can play, and how much of a force player he can be coming up in the run game.

[player_tooltip player_id='1687388' first='Booker' last='Jones'] | LB | 2028 | Brother Rice |

Booker is another really impressive physical specimen that is mature beyond his years. Always brings the boom and always plays aggressive. I will be watching closely to see how he reads and reacts and is able to get physical for 4 quarters against a team that will surely want to establish the run.

[player_tooltip player_id='2246375' first='Luke' last='Grochowski'] | LB/ATH | 2027 | Brother Rice |

Luke is an interesting prospect that I don't know nearly enough about. I know he has a solid frame that allows him to play physical, but I am excited to just take in his game and see how he fits in and what his biggest strengths are. Truly one of my biggest unknowns.

[player_tooltip player_id='977789' first='Jayden' last='Bell'] | EDGE | 2028 | Brother Rice |

Undoubtedly the most highly-touted prospect in this game. Bell has already been a game wrecker through 2 weeks and is continuing to skyrocket in stock. I am super excited to see him in person and confirm what I have seen on film, and solidify his #1 rankin in the class of 2028.

[player_tooltip player_id='212645' first='Grayson' last='Thurston'] | QB | 2028 | De La Salle |

Grayson is a bit of a blind spot for me as well, as I haven't seen much from him in person yet, only seen film. I will be doing my best to take in the full skillset on Friday night. I know he impressed a multitude of P4 coaches this offseason, so I have pretty high hopes for Grayson against a very stout defense!

[player_tooltip player_id='649723' first='Brady' last='Bullock'] | RB | 2027 | De La Salle |

I know quite a bit about Bullock, but I know he did a ton of work this offseason. I am excited to see how he has evolved and what he has added to his game! He's one of the hardest runners in the state and can hurt you with power or speed. Super excited to see what he looks like this week!

[player_tooltip player_id='1688777' first='Dalton' last='Kelley'] | DL/OL | 2027 | De La Salle |

The Wayne State commit has been shooting up out rankings, and it's easy to see why on film. He's big, physical and can anchor down and control gaps. I am excited to see how he moves, and his gap discipline. Huge night could be on the horizon for Kelley!

[player_tooltip player_id='1573357' first='Jimmy' last='Tocco'] | EDGE/LB | 2027 | De La Salle |

Jimmy is a high-ceiling kid that has long been thought of on our site as someone who could explode. I am so excited to see how he is developing and see if my film evaluations have been accurate of his game so far.
