Mona Shores is never shy about playing some tough competition to start the season. This week they’ll do that again as they play host to Grand Blanc on Thursday. QB transfer Joe TholeJoeThole

makes his way from Portage Northern with a chip on his shoulder. In a game that could come with a flurry of points, it will be fun to see if Joe is able to work his way up and down the field and keep up with a Grand Blanc team that should have some fire power offensively. Going toe to toe with a great offense like that could be a massive statement not only for Thole, but Shores as a whole. Mona Shores expects to go far into November year in and year out, and this season will be no different. Monumental game in week 1 for Joe TholeJoeThole

and his Mona Shores squad!
I’m interested in seeing how the Mona Shores offense changes with Joe at Quarterback. On tape, Joe seems like a pro-style passer through and through. In contrast, Jonathan was a powerful, athletic QB who was utilized in the run game several times per game. Joe could still run those plays from time to time, but I think his biggest strength is passing from the pocket.
I hope to see Joe hit the ground running next season. He’ll play a slightly more difficult schedule, which include a number of great secondaries. I know he can throw a good deep ball, I know Joe can throw at awkward arm angles, and I know he’s done well this offseason. Sharpen that axe in the coming months, hopefully come up with an offer or two, then ball out during the Fall!
