Warren is one of the most disruptive defensive ends we have seen in the state. He is incredibly strong, has a great first step and has a ton of moves to break free from a blocker. He makes nearly any play that comes his way on the ground and gets to the QB more often than not when pass rushing. The Western Michigan commit has all of the physical tools to be an absolute force in the MAC for years to come.

Warren showed a lot of what I’ve seen on tape. There’s little doubt that he’s a talented player. He truly knows how to use his length to disrupt passing lanes, swipe hands away, and he makes rushing the passer look easy.
Although he’s a great defensive lineman, I can’t help but question his effort on some plays. On several instances, Warren dances around the lineman before making his move, commonly ruining his momentum. He has the length and skill to get away with it, but Warren could be so much more dominant if he committed early and played with a lot more explosiveness. Still, he made some great plays and is an extremely high-upside player. At Western, I have little doubt that he’ll be developed into a much-improved defensive end.

All linemen are oftentimes unsung heroes. Especially on a program with several Division 1 skill position players, a defensive lineman like Warren doesn’t receive the attention he deserves.
Warren has the opportunity to play football at Western Michigan because of a combination of size and skillset. In terms of size, Warren is an ideal 6’4″ 230. Just an inch or two shorter, and he’d be a D2 prospect. Unfortunately, an inch or two greater may have garnered B1G 10 offers.
Regardless, Warren sports great skill as a defensive end. His #1 trait in my opinion is his pass rush. No matter who he’s going up against, Warren sports violent hands, good bend, and an unrelenting motor. I especially like how quickly he fires off the ball and how surgical he is with his hands.
Warren is also great at defending the run. Time after time on his highlight tape, you’ll see Warren push around O-Linemen, oftentimes completely ruining the play. This is an all-around great defensive end who has a very high ceiling in college. I hope to see Warren playing high-level Saturday football in a few years!

Another evaluation, another prospect who should’ve been on the rankings a long time ago. Right off the bat, Warren has good size and sports a variety of well-repped pass-rush moves. Just watch his tape for a minute. At 0:22, Warren earns a sack while dipping past an opposing tackle. Later in the tape, Warren shows off his production as a receiver. More on pass rush, I’m impressed by how detailed Warren is with his rush moves. He isn’t as quick or explosive as I’d like, but his decisiveness and understanding of pass rush makes him a prime MAC target. I like his commitment to Western Michigan and I look forward to watching him compete this Fall.
