is a 2026 defensive prospect who deserves more college attention heading into his senior year. We project him as an EDGE rusher at the next level, but he may get more traditional linebacker reps as a senior. May has the frame and athleticism to develop into a disruptive EDGE in college, with the potential to thrive as a MLB or OLB, too, depending on just how athletic he is.

is an intriguing prospect who we’ll be watching closely this season to see which position he plays the most. May saw a lot of time along the defensive line as a sophomore but appears to have serious linebacker potential if he has the athleticism to do so. May totaled 50 tackles in 2023 which was third on the team respectively and even saw snaps at offensive line at times. His short-area quickness and pursuit speed lead you to believe he can slide out to outside linebacker or Edge which are positions he could potentially thrive in eventually.
May is a stout athlete to be able to also play interior DL reps as a sophomore at his size and appears to have a bright future no matter where he ends up.

recently debuted as the #5 ranked linebacker in the class in the spring rankings update, but we’ll want to see him go out and prove that high praise at the combine. May had an interesting role for the Patriots last season while seeing reps at both defensive line and linebacker. We believe he translates best as a linebacker prospect at this point but will get a better idea of that in person. The two main questions we have for him to answer at the combine are can he test like a future college linebacker, and does he have the athleticism for pass coverage? With a lot of reps at defensive end last season, it made it difficult to judge whether he has that ability just based on film, but May can prove he has those capabilities in person in 1-on-1s and the combine testing drills.

makes his debut in the rankings as the #5 linebacker in the class and a Top 50 prospect. The 6’1 210 rising junior was the third-leading tackler for the Patriots last season with 50 total stops. May saw time as a linebacker and defensive end last season but looks like a future OLB at the next level depending on how much more he grows over the next two years. Being able to play and produce along the defensive line as a sophomore his size for that position was impressive in a tough conference like the MSAC. May proved he has the physicality for a young player and did a nice setting and crashing the edge in 2023. He also flashed the needed athleticism to play more linebacker moving forward and is someone who can get out in space and make plays or even drop into coverage more. We’ll get a great look at him in person at our combine in early May to see just how athletic he is.
