is on the shortlist of players we’re excited to see this spring and into the fall. We saw flashes of what he can be in this Stillwater offense throughout the 2025 season. But he was also banged up and we’re looking forward to seeing what he looks like at 100%. He’s a terrific athlete that can absolutely torch defenses with his legs. But he also has the ability to stand in the pocket and push the ball down the field. And when the Pioneers take the field in 2026, they’re going to have quite a few weapons around Taptto at the skill positions. If he stays healthy, he could lead one of the top offensive units in the state, regardless of class.

Lengthy, athletic, and tough are a few good ways to describe Taptto. As a sophomore starter for the Pioneers, Taptto helped lead them to a state semifinal appearance and nearly led a game-winning drive before an injury took that opportunity away. Taptto’s athleticism makes it difficult for defenses to game plan. He can use his legs in the run game or to create when protection breaks down. His height allows him to see the field easily and make quick throws over the line in the middle of the field. Taptto will be a top prospect to watch in the coming years.

in person on Thursday night. He helped guide the Pioneers to a big win over defending champion at Choctaw. We knew that Taptto was a terrific athlete after watching him in person at various 7v7 tournaments. And the arm talent is also there after we caught him in the spring. But he could not be contained on Thursday night. He accounted for all three Stillwater touchdowns and he did it on the ground, running right into the heart of the Choctaw defense. Taptto is a quarterback prospect with a very high ceiling. Because as we mentioned, the athleticism is clearly there. But as he continues to improve as a traditional passer, he’s going to be a 2028 prospect to keep an eye on for the next two years.

and he’ll just be a sophomore this fall. Taptto has been a quarterback that the Stillwater coaches have been talking about for a couple years now. He first got on our radar when he was still in 8th grade and was just a terrific athlete. Now, Taptto has earned the starting role at quarterback and gives the Pioneers a unique talent to work with. First off, the sophomore passes the eye test physically. Then you watch him throw the ball and he has a rocket for an arm and the throws down the field look effortless. Combine all that with the obvious talent Stillwater has at wide receiver and Taptto could put up big numbers.

has been a prospect that Pioneer coaches have been excited about for a while now. We first saw Taptto stand out at a 7v7 tournament and he was playing wide receiver. It was clear then that he’s a terrific athlete and then we got a chance to watch him play quarterback this spring. The Pioneers need a new quarterback after losing their starter from a year ago to graduation. Taptto appears to be the guy that will be taking the field this fall. And when we watched Taptto in the spring, we were very impressed. First off, it looks like he’s grown a few inches and we already knew that he checks the athletic box. But we watched him exclusively go to work in the pocket and make throws all over the field. Now, it’s no secret that Stillwater has one of the best receiver groups in the state. But this could be a monster breakout season for Taptto when they take the field this fall.

Taptto was the definition of playing with the cards given. As a natural quarterback, Taptto shows the size that anyone would absolutely love to have in a signal caller, but that was not where Satank shined. Playing receiver in his semi-final matchup, Taptto made the best catch of the weekend no doubt. Closely covered and grabbed by his defender, Taptto pulled in a 25+ yard bomb in the back of the end zone with only one hand. Behind his head, arm extended, and falling to the ground, Taptto pulled in a ball that everyone was sure was going to be incomplete. There is no position Satank can’t play on a football field, and is going to do great things for whatever team he plays for.
