This is a class that will go down in the history books as one of the best in state history. We've updated our 2027 rankings to include the Top 200 prospects in the state. We have a ton of individual breakdowns dropping every day to spotlight some of those special prospects. In this breakdown, we're taking a look at the wide receiver position. These six prospects are definitely on our radar after producing at a high level in the last year and for some, even longer than that. Keep it locked in to Prep Redzone Oklahoma for more 2027 individual breakdowns!

Coming off a state championship season, Sand Springs wide receiver [player_tooltip player_id='1530080' first='Dom' last='Forbes'] is looking to put together another dominant campaign. Forbes finished last season with an impressive 97 receptions for 1,325 yards and 13 touchdowns, and at 6'2" and 205 pounds, he brings a physical presence to the position that opposing defensive backs have to respect. Forbes welcomes the challenge when corners try to play him physically. He does a great job defeating man press coverage and uses his size and strength to create separation at the top of his routes. His ability to track the football also stands out, as he has made several acrobatic catches and consistently competes for the ball in the air. Forbes is a receiver with plenty of experience and leadership to bring back to the Sandites for his senior season. His vertical presence makes him a difficult matchup, and he understands how to use his body and lean into defenders to create leverage and space. With his combination of size, physicality, experience, and big-play ability, we fully anticipate Forbes having another outstanding season as he looks to help the Sandites continue their success.

Edmond Memorial wide receiver [player_tooltip player_id='1014077' first='Cameron' last='Quarrels Jr.'] is coming off an outstanding junior season, finishing with 56 receptions for 1,075 yards and 11 touchdowns while earning 6A-I Newcomer of the Year honors. Quarrels is an explosive athlete who has the ability to impact the game in a variety of ways whenever the football is in his hands. One of the things that stands out most on film is his ability as a route runner and his understanding of how to get open. Edmond Memorial can line him up at multiple spots across the formation to create mismatches and give the defense different looks. He does a great job finding space, creating separation, and putting himself in position for his quarterback to deliver the football. What really separates Quarrels is what he does once the ball is in his hands. He has the explosiveness and instincts to turn a routine reception into a big play and is a threat to take it to the house anytime he touches the football. With his route-running ability, playmaking skills, and versatility, Quarrels is primed for another big season and should be one of the players to watch in Edmond Memorial's offense during his senior year.

Coming off an 11-1 season, [player_tooltip player_id='1684110' first='Jackson' last='Parks'] was an important piece of the Tigers' offense, finishing with 809 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns. Parks returns for his senior season with plenty of experience, and after spending the summer competing at several camps, he has continued to turn heads with his combination of size and athleticism. Standing at 6'2" and 210 pounds, Parks presents a difficult matchup for opposing corners in 5A. He tracks the football extremely well and isn't afraid to go up and attack the ball at its highest point. Last season, he made a highlight-reel catch in the corner of the end zone that made its way around the internet, showcasing his body control and ability to make difficult catches look routine. The Tigers have a high-powered offense, and Parks will bring valuable leadership and experience back to the receiving corps. With a new quarterback taking over under center, having a veteran playmaker like Parks gives the offense a reliable target who can stretch the field and make big plays. I expect Parks to be a major part of the Tigers' offense as he looks to put together a big senior season.

Del City Eagles have another weapon at their disposal in wide receiver [player_tooltip player_id='1664120' first='Josiah' last='Chester'], who brings plenty of experience and playmaking ability back to the offense this season. Chester has already received several opportunities to play football at the next level, and his talent is easy to see on film. Chester is a good-sized athlete with strong hands and an impressive catch radius. He consistently competes for the football in the air and has the ability to come down with difficult catches, making him a reliable target for his quarterback. What really stands out is his playmaking ability—anytime Chester gets the ball in his hands, he has the ability to turn an ordinary play into a big one. Coming off a 9-3 season and finishing 6-1 in conference play for a second-place finish, Del City will look to Chester to help lead the Eagles' offense to another successful season. His experience, size, strong hands, and ability to create plays out of nothing make him a player who can be a major factor for Del City this season.

McAlester Buffaloes wide receiver [player_tooltip player_id='1175581' first='Brandon' last='Smith'] is an athlete I have had the opportunity to evaluate both through one of my Friday Film Reviews and in person at a Prep Redzone football camp. Smith has put in plenty of work this summer, spending time on the camp circuit competing and continuing to develop his game. Smith moves well at wide receiver and shows the ability to make plays in open space. He has reliable hands, good hand-eye coordination, and the ability to stretch the field vertically as a deep threat. He does a nice job getting in and out of his routes and understands passing concepts, allowing him to create separation and find open space for his quarterback. Having seen Smith compete in person, I like the overall athleticism and skill set he brings to the position. His combination of route running, hands, and ability to make plays down the field should make him a valuable asset for the Buffaloes' passing game this season.

New Union transfer Nizayah Abraham looks poised to make an immediate impact after moving over from Tulsa Hale. Abraham was a true do-it-all athlete for Hale last season, contributing as a wide receiver, safety, and return specialist while totaling more than 1,000 all-purpose yards. As a receiver, Abraham shows the ability to run good routes and understands how to create separation and find open windows for his quarterback. His versatility is one of his biggest strengths, and it will be interesting to see how Union utilizes him and where he ultimately finds his role in 6A-I football. I had the opportunity to watch Abraham live and in person last season, and he has continued to put in the work this offseason by making his way around the college camp circuit. I also had the chance to feature him in one of our Friday Film Reviews, and his athleticism and versatility continue to stand out. With his ability to impact the game in all three phases, Abraham is a player I'm excited to see in a Union uniform this season and see what he can do at that level.
