PRZMD Preseason Poll: Who’s the Top 2027 QB in MD/DC

The quarterback position has always been one of the most important in football, and the MD/DC Class of 2027 features several talented signal-callers ready to make their mark. Before the season kicks off, we want to know who you believe is the preseason favorite for QB MVP.
I don't use the "he's under-the-radar" term too much, so when I do, there's usually a good reason. Johnson easily put up the best numbers last season out of anyone one else on this list. He completed 143-of-245 passes for 2,457 yards, 34 touchdowns, and seven interceptions. As if that wasn't enough, he carried the football 125 times for 1,206 yards and 13 touchdowns.
Johnson is a one-man army.
Highlights
Out of all of the quarterbacks on this list, Paukstis arguably has the best resume. In the last two seasons as a starter, he's completed 383-of-572 passes for 5,699 yards and 66 touchdown passes.
With some of his top weapons lost to graduation, I'd expect Paukstis to throw more than he had to last season. Can he throw for 3K again like he did in 2024? We shall soon see.
Paukstis committed to Tulane on July 29th as a preferred walk-on.
Highlights
Woods is the No. 2 quarterback in Maryland, and I still think he's underrated (not by PRZ). SJC runs the ball a lot, so he's never going to put up crazy numbers. I've seen him in games, 7v7's, and camps over the past couple of years and he's always been one of the top performers.
Highlights
Noll heads into his senior year with an offer from both Wagner and Murray State.
In the first 9-out-of-10 games last season, Noll completed 72-of-138 passes for 971 yards, nine touchdowns, and four interceptions. He also ran the football 34 times for 392 yards and two touchdowns.
Outside of a lopsided loss to Archbishop Spalding, Noll and his team had very competitive games against the rest of the MIAA A conference last season.
Highlights
Dixon committed to Monmouth back on June 10th. There's not a lot of film on him from too many games last season, and I did not see him in the game that I watched between Concordia Prep and Calvert Hall.
I'm sure Dixon, the one-time Syracuse football commit, is looking forward to coming back and letting everyone why he's one of the top 2027 signal-callers in the MD/DC area.
Highlights
Sabb helped lead DeMatha to the 2025 WCAC Capital Conference Champions. Based on what I've seen with my eyes and film, he is one of the more explosive dual-threat quarterbacks in the DMV. He also plays on a run-heavy team. However, when I saw him make some nice passes in a blowout win against St. Joe's Prep out of Philly, I thought that when given the chance, he can make things happen.
