The Rize: Scouting Notebook on Receivers, Part 1

A double-session prospect showcase, this event drew middle school prospects from all across the country to see how they stacked up against their national counterparts. Each prospect was personally hand-selected by middle school guru&nbsp;<a href="https://x.com/AlPopsFootball">Al Pops</a>&nbsp;to compete and attend.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>As per usual, I attended and report to you my positional notes for the position group referenced in the title of this article. I really liked the fact that Fleury knows what he is and is not forcing it to become a receiver. This level-headed approach will enable him to develop as he should, as he grows into his 6'4", 200lb frame entering high school. I only got a mere glimpse at Fleury once it seems this event. I thought that he must find a way to become a hair bit quicker when he comes out of his route, at the top of it. Doing so will create more separation and make catches easier. Despite being nearly 200lbs, Maurino is not heavy-footed and converts his mass into force, getting over the top well. Not exactly a football hot bed, the New Hampshire native showed to be a hard route runner, who does so behind his pads. An area to improve might be how he uses his landmarks when route running and sharpening up his cuts. Fresh off being crowned a National Champion at Prep Redzone's 7v7 circuit, Hardison is taking his winning ways to back-to-back defending state champ in Winslow. What Winslow is getting in Hardison is a deep threat. I was in awe in how he tracked the ball so well deep.
