About Deacon

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Versatile and relentless, on both sides of the ball. Offensively, I use my size, hands, and athleticism to create mismatches, run disciplined routes, and block with physicality. Defensively, I play with an aggressive style. I get off the ball quickly, use my length to control gaps, and chase plays down from sideline to sideline.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’m a self‑driven, adaptable player. I take pride in being dependable and coachable. I compete with confidence, stay focused under pressure, and always put the team first. I bring a positive, competitive mindset to everything I do.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I sing in my school Chorus and have for the past three years. We have received the highest honors at LGPE all three years. In addition to Chorus, I recently began learning piano. I am a practicing member of the youth group at my church, an active member of FCA, and I have volunteered for the last two years at multiple youth baseball camps.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I take pride in volunteering and coaching young athletes. I feel like they can relate to me because I’m not much older. During the last camp where I volunteer coached, there was a developmentally challenged participant. I learned how to be patient while working with him and made sure he had a memorable experience like the rest of the campers.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

This may not seem like a challenge to most, but I have been significantly bigger in size than my peers my whole life. Teachers, coaches, people in general have assumed I am much older than I am, so I have often been expected to be smarter, faster, stronger, more mature. I have had to work hard rise to rise to the expectations.

Deacon Fleury Deacon Fleury Deacon Fleury 6'4" | 200 lbs | TE/EDGE Walton | 2030 GA has outstanding size already coming out of the 2030 class. He has tremendous body control at his size and sure hands. He really reminds me of former Notre Dame and Cincinnati Bengals tight end Tyler Eifert. He has that kind of talent early on and I believe as he continues to develop, Fleury is going to play early in high school and he will, he will for sure be a household name in the state of Georgia for the tight end position, he gives the hybrid tight end feel, super athletic, great size and hands, real deal.
