On Saturday, June 27, 2026 Prep Redzone Next was back-in-action in Jackson, New Jersey, as they hosted "The Rize." Once his matchup committed to their route, Sloan used his eyes extremely well as he worked them back to the quarterback. Backed up against the goal line, he made a great break on the ball and forced an easy looking incompletion, textbook style.

A standout wrestler in his own right, [player_tooltip player_id='1476959' first='Mason' last='Rohan'] will be tackling his dual-athlete abilities to Immaculata this fall. The wiry corner typically played off, perhaps trusting his reaction to the ball more than his speed. That said, when in phase Rohan did an outstanding job squeezing his matchup to the sideline, ever-so-slightly influencing him there and eliminating space for a completion in bounds in the process.

A regional top performer back on his home turf, [player_tooltip player_id='1561090' first='Amare' last='Roy'] made, what I thought, was the single best performance by a defensive back on the afternoon. Playing a trail technique, Roy showed that he can run in-phase throughout all stages of the route. Comfortable in this position, he did a great job of finding a second gear of speed to undercut pass attempts that were thrown over the middle. Each time this occurred, Roy used his length to make a play on the ball and thus eliminating primary reads in the process.

Perhaps a bump down from the defense's third level to their second level is in order for [player_tooltip player_id='2043858' first='Kingston' last='Moore']. A bit heavier a defensive back at just under 200lbs, Moore appeared a bit flat footed with hip that needed to be unwound. That said, Moore did demonstrate a burst when pursing and breaking, indicating that he has some twitch and recovery speed in him. I think that if not safety, linebacker will be Moore's final destination - especially as he has a strong mentor in older brother and UNC commit [player_tooltip player_id='431328' first='Tasheem' last='Butler'] ready on standby.

Internally within Prep Redzone there was talk about Jyohn Permemter being ranked nationally within the top 300 for the class of 2030 when it is all said and done; and although I did not get a detailed look at him, the speed is absolutely there. It seemed as though Permemter was shot out of a cannon when he changes directions and within his first two steps. Moreover, Permemter ran with every single prospect he competed against. Speed like that is rare, and Permemter apparently possesses it.

I really liked the grittiness that Cameron Peoples showed throughout this event. In space Peoples played not only tight to his assignment, but through the man. As the pass was forthcoming, Peoples, who was consistently in phase, followed through and viciously attacked the ball. This same grittiness appeared once more in goal line situations, as one of the shorter defensive backs to compete completed jammed his opponent at the line of scrimmage, refusing to allow a clean release, and eliminated the goal line fade as an option for that offensive rep.

A North Jersey prospect headed to Seton Hall Prep, [player_tooltip player_id='2121334' first='Jaylen' last='Amos'] was one who was a bit handsy. Amos can unquestionably run with anyone; additionally, the rising 9th grader is physical with opposing receivers throughout the entirety of their route. That said, Amos appears to be a prospect that uses his hands a lot. This is something he ought to be mindful of, as some of the plays were a bit questionable in terms of pass interference. Get the wrong ref, and they are certain to throw the flag.

The Rize Event Coverage

Defensive Backs, Part 1
Defensive Line, Part 1
Defensive Line, Part 2
Defensive Line, Part 3
Defensive Line, Part 4
Offensive Line, Part 1
Offensive Line, Part 2
Offensive Line, Part 3
Offensive Line, Part 4
Linebackers, Part 1
Linebackers, Part 2
Quarterbacks, Part 1
Quarterbacks, Part 2
Quarterbacks, Part 3
Receivers, Part 1
Receivers, Part 2
Receivers, Part 3
Receivers, Part 4
Running Backs, Part 1
Running Backs, Part 2
Running Backs, Part 3
