Line ‘Em Up to Knock ‘Em Back: Linebackers Who Nuck + Buck

Pounding the pavement hard this offseason, I attended more than 7 events live and in person. Below are miscellaneous notes from this summer/spring season that I took regarding offensive linemen.

Be sure to follow me on Twitter for the latest New Jersey high school football prospect news and not miss a beat!

[player_tooltip player_id='1881721' first='Clement' last='Hofbauer'] was one of those prospects I truly wish I did not miss. Ranked as a running back but competing as a linebacker, I thought that Hofbauer had a very god build to play the position. His pedigree of being a Montville product, leaves me with more regret that I did not get more of a look at him, than simply looking at him as I did. Hofbauer is, for sure, a prospect that will be circled back too when ranking time comes along.

For Anthony Lupi's football future, I think that he can either simply be a high school linebacker or a college lineman. As I watched him compete there were several opportunities where he received coaching; and to his credit, Tang was receptive. I thought that Haynes played completely upright and sort of took his reps for granted in terms of effort and finish.

Linebacker #30 was one that I took note of, yet was not provided biographical information on. When manning up backs out of the backfield, he did a nice job of bumping them to disrupt their routes and timing. I would benefit, however, from matching their movements (i/e: their arms when the extend) and keeping his eyes on their hips.

PSR Big Camp Series Coverage

Quarterback, Receiver, D-Backs Session Pt. 1
Quarterback, Receiver, D-Backs Session Pt. 2
PSR Big Camp Series: Defensive Line Session Pt. 1
PSR Big Camp Series: Defensive Line Session Pt. 2
PSR Big Camp Series: Defensive Line Session Pt. 3
PSR Big Camp Series: Defensive Line Session Pt. 4
PSR Big Camp Series: Linebacker Session Pt. 1
PSR Big Camp Series: Linebacker Session Pt. 2
PSR Big Camp Series: Linebacker Session Pt. 3
PSR Big Camp Series: Linebacker Session Pt. 4
PSR Big Camp Series: Offensive Line Session Pt. 1
PSR Big Camp Series: Offensive Line Session Pt. 2
PSR Big Camp Series: Offensive Line Session Pt. 3
PSR Big Camp Series: Offensive Line Session Pt. 4
PSR Big Camp Series: Running Back Session Pt. 1
PSR Big Camp Series: Running Back Session Pt. 2
