What was evident with Rayshaun's live eval is that his route-running ability has gained more three-level burst and twitch than what we saw out of our last live eval this December. He's always been an athlete that I felt played above his measurables, but from what I saw in Bemidji I felt that he has elevated that stock in the Bruins wide receiving core. Rayshaun surely should be a weapon that should get a lot of targets heading into his sophomore year.

Finn was a new name for me that popped out at the Bemidji State Big School Team Camp, as the other standout I had logged from Benilde St. Margaret's last week. In the live eval I got on Finn, the 2028 wide receiver showed off to be more explosive after the catch than I had expected to see and showed this off on numerous ocassions. Finn also showed how productive his hands were in tighter windows around the edges, as you could gauge the poise this young man had from a mental and physical standpoint was locked in, in Bemidji. He is one that I would take off the watchlist from what I saw as one that is another from this gorup that should get a solid amount of targets heading into his junior season with the Red Knights.

Justin had one of the more crazy catches during War on the Shore, where his 4A team from Simley knocked off 6A Shakopee in tournament play which was the best upset of War on the Shore. He found the quick window of seperation and had to tip-toe in the back of the end zone to reel in what was a very difficult reception to haul in. Justin was by far Simley's most productive wide receiver that during the Bemidji State Big School Team Camp and caught a handful of receptions on Wednesday that had me trying to figure out why he doesn't have more next-level opportunities, as he pass the eye test from me with his great hands when needed in clutch situations.

It's hard to believe, but we have a new name out of Shakopee in their wide receiving core that impressed me last week at the Bemidji State Big School Team Camp which is 2027 athlete [player_tooltip player_id='2256708' first='Alexander' last='Padilla']. He took camp MVP at the Mankato Prospect Camp a couple weeks ago and some of the reps I was able to watch in Bemidji has me a little shocked that Alexander doesn't have an offer from anywhere as of yet. The 5'10 185 pounder has great instincts to advance the football after the catch in the open field, has the reliable hands in tight coverage to get the job done (which was evident during the championship at War on the Shore), and just fits the bill as a slot-receiver at a scholarship-level school. Big time senior bloomer in my eyes out of Shakopee.

Talk about what was one of the most clutch receptions I saw at War on the Shore at the Bemidji State Big School Team Camp came from new St. Thomas commit [player_tooltip player_id='1246911' first='Jaxon' last='Brown']. It's been no secret for the last couple of years to us though at Prep Redzone Minnesota, that Jaxon is a playmaker that has always played with a chip on his shoulder. His route tree he showed off throughout the time I watched him in Bemidji has surely grown since my last live eval which wasn't even that long ago. I am stoked to watch the QB/WR duo of [player_tooltip player_id='1683410' first='Bo' last='Schwartz'] to [player_tooltip player_id='1246911' first='Jaxon' last='Brown'] and how that looks this fall in Shakopee.

Tight Ends

A tight end name that was sent over by Simley's staff that I also had notes logged on was 2028 tight end [player_tooltip player_id='1743460' first='Mason' last='Streiff']. The 6'4 210 pounder was the big target that we saw at the Bemidji State Big School Team Camp for the Spartans and one that showed off the intriguing upside that is destined to grow further as a route-runner heading into his junior season. I thought Mason showed off the length you want to see at the tight end position and I feel he's one that shows the position flexibility he has for Simley, so he's still breaking into the the mold as far as the tight end position. I thought from an athletic perspective, he was one that was also more fluid than I was expecting on the reps I got to watch during War on the Shore.

Something that the young bucks have gathered from the millennial generation in my opinion is the term of getting "Moss'd" which the best Moss'd type catch I saw came from South Dakota State commit [player_tooltip player_id='1120545' first='Jameson' last='Smuda']. He didn't get a ton of targets during War on the Shore, but this particular target I watched during one of the last mixers of the day at the Bemidji State Big School Team Camp, was my catch of the day before we got to War on the Shore that night. Jameson utilized the 6'6 220 pound frame he has at his disposal to take the top of the DB from Hwy 169 rival school up the road, Princeton. He's one I will surely keep my attention on this fall to see the mismatches he's going to get in 4A.

Other Names of Mention

Names that were recommended by their coaching staffs out of this group that had productive showings at the Bemidji State Big School Team Camp.

[player_tooltip player_id='2053868' first='Briggs' last='Tarnowski'], Maple Grove 2028

[player_tooltip player_id='1654525' first='Ben' last='Banwart'], Maple Grove 2028

We move into the wide receivers and tight ends that caught our attention from the Bemidji State Big School Team Camp. Muliple states, classes, and plenty of household names and new names mentioned!
