QB MVP
The Bemidji State Big School Team Camp was a fun one to watch for me from a live eval perspective, as I have probably watch Graham and

more live than anyone and I know the competition and respect between those two is surely there especially that they hold our QB7 and QB8 spots in the 2028 Minnesota rankings. In the end though, it was Shakopee’s

that got my nod for QB MVP as the tight windows that Bo was able to hit on a persistent basis during the reps I was able to watch gave him the nod as another newcomer gunslinger in the 6A ranks coming over from 5A Brainerd. Not only was Bo persistent in where I mentioned above, but I could see the quick turn over he’s made from a chemistry perspective as I know he’s gotten countless reps with

plenty this offseason. Speaking of that QB/WR duo, Bo had the beset play I saw during War on the Shore, as he got out of a jam in the backfield and somehow found Jaxon in the end zone in what I recall was a must-stop third down play that Bo and the Sabers capitalized on a make or break play. I’ll post it this week when I find it on my phone for sure.

had a fantastic showing during the 2025 Summer Camp SZN, catching the eye of PrepRedzoneMN at stops at the Minnesota Gophers RTB Prospect Camp and the first North Dakota Flagship Camp of the summer. Strong arm, tall in the pocket, consistent in his accuracy, and always a top performer during 1v1 competition, Schwartz had us bullish on his potential in 2024, but he’s been exceeding expectations through three weeks of his sophomore season. Schwartz has been running with the Warrior’s QB1 job since earning the starting nod during fall camp, leading Brainerd to an early 3-0 record while completing 33 passes on 49 attempts (67%) for 445 yards and 2 TDs to 0 INTs + 51 rushing yards in wins over Buffalo (28-27), Duluth East (30-0), and Sauk Rapids-Rice (49-14).
The tape shows off a young, developing first-year starter who can throw with touch downfield, can scramble and evade pressure around the pocket and throws a good ball on the move, and will step into his throws and finish passes through contact and oncoming big hits. Schwartz displays a quick release, good timing on his passes, the arm strength to zip the ball into zone coverage windows, and is also a threat as a rusher. Brainerd is HUMMING right now, and a lot of their competitiveness can be credited to Schwartz, who does a good job keeping his offense moving, churning out yardage thanks to his quick decision making, and keeping the football safe. Keep an eye on Brainerd in the 5A race in 2025!

Bo in my eyes was in my top-tier for 2028 quarterbacks in attendance, as the Brainerd product showed off a great live eval from our first look at him. He was more well-versed with his throwing mechanics than I expected, which was a bright spot to see. The 6’0 190 pounder also appeared longer for that frame which indicates to me there could be growth over the coming years with his size/frame. Overall, Bo was one of the more precise quarterbacks in the group and could make throws on all three levels. He surely is one of my favorite 2028 QBs in the class out of Lakes country. Twitter
