Smuda is fresh off an unofficial gameday visit to South Dakota, with North Dakota, Cornell, and Washington State contacting the ’27 athlete prior to the season.

Smuda can get open at the top of the route and easily take the top off the defense, is willing to go over the middle, put his body on the line, and finish catches through contact and oncoming hits, and tracks and plays the ball well in the air, good balance for his size, and is a willing and effective blocker – both inside the box and out in space – that can open holes for his tailbacks.
