Our Prep Redzone Exposure Camp is next Friday, May 1, and we'll have a full preview closer to the time. First, though, we want to take a look at some of the early registrants, both to honor those who signed up early, and to set the stage for what we'll see next Friday. Here, we're breaking down some of the players we're most excited to see.

Prep Redzone Exposure Camp Headliners

Every player who competes at our showcases gets some sort of write-up, but several of the top performers will get extra push via articles, evaluations, and social media. While several players will emerge on the day of the camp, we do have an idea of some of the potential top performers ahead of time. Here are three early storylines based on the early roster.

1) Strong-Armed Quarterbacks

The quarterback group has plenty of upside. From an arm talent perspective, it's one of the best groups we've ever had at a PRZNC event.

We have three guys (so far) who are in the Top 10 of their respective classes, and all of them have elite natural abilities.

Northwest Cabarrus' [player_tooltip player_id='1301805' first='Hudson' last='Irwin'] has already impressed some people this offseason, earning rave reviews at the Carolinas Coaches Combine in Hickory last weekend. The 6'4," 200-pounder has a live arm and the ball jumps out. He's honed his mechanics and footwork, as well, from what I've been told, and I'm looking forward to checking on that progression next Friday.

Lincolnton's [player_tooltip player_id='1678610' first='Rashad' last='Lynch'] is an impressive passer, delivering with accuracy and precision. He's one of the state's top returning passers after throwing for nearly 2,700 yards last season. He's electric as a runner, too, as he led the Wolves on the ground with over 1,100 yards and nine scores with his legs. He's an explosive athlete who could be among the best testers of the night.

We're also getting to see two top quarterbacks from the RDU area in [player_tooltip player_id='1328747' first='Lex' last='Sevilla'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1616112' first='Jonah' last='El-Amin']. I've been vocal in my opinion of Sevilla, a strong-armed, balanced passer with decent athleticism and excellent processing. El-Amin flashed as a freshman before sitting as a sophomore. His arm talent is elite, and I'm very excited to see him in a camp setting.

2) Trenches!

I'm very excited about this early group of offensive linemen. The defensive line isn't bad either, and there are multiple stock-risers who are already poised for a rankings bump, even before competing Friday.

On the offensive line, I have an FBS grade on 2027 left tackle [player_tooltip player_id='1815332' first='Landon' last='Suttle'] out of South Point. A camp setting should be great for his stock, given the unique offensive scheme he plays in. A camp setting strips away the noise and turns into "block the guy in front of you." There are few in the state as good at that part of offensive line play as Suttle.

2029 top offensive lineman [player_tooltip player_id='865972' first='Jackson' last='Jenkins'] is a Prep Redzone Showcase veteran, and he was an absolute anchor last season at center for Northern Nash. Not only did he hold his own, he flat-out dominated.

There are some other intriguing offensive linemen, including 2028s [player_tooltip player_id='1670896' first='Logan' last='Martin'] (North Stanly) and [player_tooltip player_id='1939214' first='Hunter' last='Wingler'] (Ashe County).

Martin and his brother [player_tooltip player_id='1670898' first='Colton' last='Martin'] are each two-way players, and I'll probably ask both to work out both ways, but as of this writing, I like Colton defensively and Logan on offense.

3) Wide Receivers/Tight Ends

There are some intriguing receivers and tight ends in this group. The headliner is Jack Britt tight end [player_tooltip player_id='1718784' first='Phoenix' last='Barnes']. I won't bury the lede here. When we update 2027 rankings, he'll be the biggest stock-riser in over a year, moving from the mid-400s to the top-100 in our next update. With offers from all sorts of FBS schools, Barnes should set the standard.

At receiver, we have a bunch of promising young guys. [player_tooltip player_id='1421082' first='RJ' last='Lynch'] may be on the smaller side, but he's electric, and I think he could blow some testing numbers out of the water.

[player_tooltip player_id='590094' first='Amari' last='Coulter'] is a guy we saw two years ago, but haven't seen in person since. He's a weapon in the slot, and his release package is great.

Finally, Rolesville 2029 WR [player_tooltip player_id='2113397' first='John' last='Spivey'] didn't hit the varsity rotation as a freshman, but we've heard from two different program sources that he's the next "guy" for the Rams.
