Over the weekend, I was at the PRZMN Exposure Showcase event where several of the top prospects across the state showed up to bring more prominent attention toward their potential and make a strong case for a significant boost up our rankings. During the first session, I was able to get an eye on the prominent DL prospects that stood out throughout the testing, individual drills, and the 1-on-1 sessions held during the event. We take a look at 7 DL standouts from Saturday's Exposure Showcase!

The DL MVP of the showcase went to [player_tooltip player_id='1633447' first='Nathan' last='Elachi'], who's impressive combination of size, frame, speed, and power made him dominant throughout the 1-on-1 sessions. Elachi showcased his explosiveness off the snap, and he was able to constantly win his reps and get around the edge with blistering speed, while also doing being able to out-leverage OTs and effectively bull-rush his way into the pocket. Elachi has the length to reach around blockers and bring the QB down through contact, and while he only had 2 sacks in 2025, Elachi's potential as a disruptive off-ball Edge rusher is too potent to be overlooked. Having garnered some interest from D1 teams, Elachi's standout performance on Saturday may entrench him as a surefire D1-caliber prospect to watch out for going forward.

The 1-on-1 sessions got very physical on Saturday, and without a doubt [player_tooltip player_id='1629870' first='Andrew' last='Olson'] stood as one of the toughest and physically exerting D-linemen throughout the session. Olson showed excellent hand-fighting skills, getting first contact often, and proving difficult for blockers to handle. Olson was constantly able to drive blockers backward and was able to gain leverage through both the inside and outside shoulder. Olson's shows strong fundamentals and a steady base while boasting the competitive tenacity to play at DT, with this performance further fueling Olson's stock as he enters his senior campaign.

Hopkins' Demetrius Wleh is a relatively new prospect in our system, but he shined as one of the best pure speed-rushers throughout the showcase. Wleh posted a strong 4.83 40 yard dash time as well as a whopping 9'9" broad jump during testing. In the individual and 1-on-1 drills, what stood out to me the most was just how dangerously explosive he is off the ball and how fast he is able to change direction, winning both with inside and outside leverage as blockers simply couldn't keep up with him. Entering his junior season, Wleh will certainly be on our radar as a potential breakout for the Royals' defense.

[player_tooltip player_id='2067625' first='Jamari' last='Sargent'] may be a smaller and stouter athlete on the trenches, but he impressed me quite often on Saturday with just how relentless and effective he was in the interior. Sargent gets off the snap quickly, showing strong pursuit and shifty double-moves to break into the pocket, and he was doing this while taking on some huge blockers in the trenches on Saturday, showcasing how his skillset translates well against a varied level of competition that included some of the best of the best in the state. Sargent will be an intriguing name to watch out for as he looks to break out on the trenches for the Blaze in 2026.

Another explosive young edge rusher, [player_tooltip player_id='2166490' first='Mason' last='Bergstrom'] has time to grow into size as a flexible DE/OLB option, but there was a lot to like from his performance on Saturday. Bergstrom impressed me with his quick speed off the line, proving to be a swift outside rusher while also showing solid inside moves and his speed allows him to shed off blockers quickly and out-leverage them to get into the pocket. Bergstrom saw some valuable reps on Saturday and proved himself well winning several reps against bigger and more experienced blockers in the 1-on-1 competitions. Bergstrom is poised for a breakout season for the Panthers in 2026.

[player_tooltip player_id='1651659' first='Jacob' last='Gieseke'] is no stranger to our Prep Redzone showcase events, being his 3rd appearance at a PRZMN event over the last year, and he continues to take steps forward with his progression as a rising DL prospect. Gieseke performed well throughout the 1-on-1 reps at DE, showcasing a solid blend of explosive outside rushes and inside moves while also being able to drive blockers back and being able to get to the QB through holds by the O-Linemen. His solid resume as a regular standout at our events should prove pivotal as he enters his senior season as a sneaky prospect to make a late recruiting push toward.

[player_tooltip player_id='2081390' first='Lemar' last='Gatlin']-Thompson might be one of the stoutest DL prospects that participated at our event on Saturday, but he had plenty of success as an underrated stud during the 1-on-1 reps. Gatlin-Thompson's size and playing-style may better suit him on the edge, but he had some great reps attacking the interior gaps and taking on bigger linemen, utilizing his quick get-off speed and explosive motor to play well beyond his size, while also displaying solid pass-rush moves, with one particular spin move during the session that left me speechless. Gatlin-Thompson should remain to be a vital piece for the Patriots' defense as he enters his senior season.
